Nah, they got around him to the level expected. Maybe not 'won the GF' level, but not 'who gives a shit' level that may have been quite possible given the circumstances.

It seemed very perfunctory but at least they didn't ignore him like they did with Mora all those years back.

Protected the space in the pocket in a 1 on 1 contest. Ball came to ground and snapped on his left 20m out from goal. Went through. Great finish.

His body has a lot of work to go into it and he was really labouring at points but if he doesn’t make it will be very surprised.

Great hands and a great kick. Super promising, just needs another year in the gym and a stronger base fitness level. Hopefully he finds 10+ games next year in the best 22 and from then on I’m confident we’ve got a great key forward.

Wasn’t scared to pull the trigger on a couple of passes into the middle. Hit Fyfe with one and the other was the kick of the day for mine. Hit Duman I think it was in the middle who didn’t break stride.

Obviously needs to work on his conditioning and strength but first glimpses based on pure footy were very nice.

That looked like a pretty impressive effort first-up. Got to a lot of contests and competed really well throughout the whole four quarters.

Seems to have a good footy IQ. Could be good to see him and Hogan play together fingers crossed.

I'm really happy he got his debut tonight. Obviously needs to build his strength and aerobic capacity up but there's plenty to work with and he kicked such a fantastic goal.

I hope he comes back on his first day of preseason hungrier than ever.

He's a natural forward. I like his size and asset to getting to the pack. He's off that 10-15% AFL fitness. He's only 20. Honestly, keep him and a pre season or two he ll be a find.
Competed all day. Now he needs to hit the training hard and there's a spot in the 22 for him next season.
