His acceleration and agility is as good as anyone in the comp. He consistently separates from packs and creates space with a ball a good half dozen plus times a game since going into the midfield. This is the exact type of midfielder the side has been lacking the last few years. Can be a real point of difference for this team into the future.

There was a moment yesterday he was motoring away the mids at a clearance while he assessed his options. Once he picked a target he then put the hammer down and it was like the friggin millenium Falcon.

Yeah I noticed that .. he seemed to be running at full tilt out the middle, and so was the chaser, and then he just leaned forward, and burned way ... pretty impressive.

I might have mentioned Craig Bradley in relation to Connor and that is one of the similarities. Braddles had amazing speed through the gears. He would often lure an opponent into a false sense of security then find another gear and burn them off.

He seems to be a forgotten great in VFL/ AFL circles outside of port and the blues

Perhaps because people remember his last 100 games rather than his first 373

Poor old Braddles was always subjected to a bit of derision by boofhead media personalities. Under-rated big time.

Need to sign Connor and Zakk on longer contracts now so we can focus on bringing JHF to the club and not pay him more than these 2 lads .
