A Richmond list manager who is a coach at the same junior club Smillie plays at and would obviously rate him … might take him at 6.Love the optimism but no one is taking Smillie over Langford. If anyone does they should be sacked.

If he is the only mid left and he falls to us.Sounds like St fans rate Smillie about as much as Dees fans do
Oh my... FOS for sure.If Crowd take Smith at 2 it will likely be
1. Richmond: Lalor
2. Crows: Smith
3. Carlton: Draper
4. North: Tauru
5. Dees: FOS or Langford (Surely we go FOS)
6. Richmond: Langford or Reid
7. St Kilda: Smillie
8. St Kilda: Langford or Armstrong
9. Demons: Travaglia or Allan
No way Langford gets to our pick 9. Imagine a world where we get FOS and Langford!? Holy hell.Oh my... FOS for sure.
Could you imagine a world where saints take Armstrong (KPF) leaving us with Langford - strong marking, goal kicking mid? Is this McCartin and Trac 2.0? (Poor man's version obviously).
Other thing to consider with 9 trade is Kalani White being F/S eligible next year.We traded 28, 40, 46, 54, 65 and a future first rounder for 9.
It would take a ridiculous offer to move it on.
I honestly don't think based on what he's produced recently, that we will need a bid too high. But he could have a decent last year as a junior that changes that. His height and athleticism alone could see a first round bid.Other thing to consider with 9 trade is Kalani White being F/S eligible next year.
Moving our F1 out and being able to match a bid on him could be genius.
i agree, i've never really liked FOS. his kicking put me off him straight away, and it was similar story for Smith as well though not as bad.FOS is so hard to rank for me. Can see the upside and tools in his game absolutely. But **** me he really has some bad moments, his kicking can look good on occasions but a lot of the time (even kicks that hit the mark are ****ing ugly) its terrible. Much like Draper he has pretty much no left foot, unlike Draper his kicking on his right really lacks penetration, lots of wobbly slow mungs, bordering on hospital passes in the AFL. Having said all that could be great and my queries will look stupid in 3 years, bit of Dangerfield about him minus that true breakaway speed.
Hope someone takes him before us so its not a decision we have to make honestly.
Quite a few people said that initially about Smith also. I think you may have just caught a bad game from Smith. Hes certainly not the player who is going to wow you with bullet passes, but hes a perfectly fine kick in the majority of games I watched. Not quite as good as Reid but similar to where hes creative and puts it to his targets advantage, hes good at weighting his kicks.and it was similar story for Smith as well though not as bad.
Danger is the high end comp but you know the other player he REALLY reminds me of.... Elijah Tsatas...that would be the low end comp.
I fell in love with Tsatas tools in his draft year and ended up being wrong. So maybe that's why I'm swinging the other way on FOS now.
Langford's 20m was slow but doesn't look it in his highlights as he is always in motion around stoppages ala Cripps/Bont who both often explode out of a stoppage looking quicker than they are. Also has a nice little side step like Pendles, uses the long arms to keep ball out of the tackle, good technique.I'd go Langford over FOS at this point.
But unsure how much injury impacted FOS year this year.
Langford is a great all-around player (not far off a Brayshaw clone), and his 2km result makes me feel better about his shitty 20m.
Mate he'd wanna be the next guaranteed Tom Stewart who's so good as a 3rd tall teams tag him or else why the ****Listening to North's recruiting manager, I reckon they take FOS.
No to Tauru at 5*, please. A third tall with iffy disposal who'll also be a massive developmental project is the last thing we need.
Hope the kid has a great career, he's certainly a talent. But not for us.
The more i see of Lindsay the more i likeAnyway, I'll throw out my final preference list (for us, not necessarily who I think will have the best career).
