We've drafted 3 Bendigo Pioneers players in one draft...surely that's some sort of record?

I don't know how much of it was done on purpose - as the priority would have been to draft the best talent available - but I like that SOS has managed to draft kids who will already have mates at the club even before they start. There's the three Bendigo boys and also Garlett already being good mates with Pickett. This will help the young blokes to quickly settle in and feel at home. Good for developing a strong culture.

It reminds me of back when I was their age, starting college. All those strange faces I would have to get to know, it was a bit daunting. Then I came across a couple of people who had attended the same high school as me, and right then and there, the place really came alive for me. Of course I went on to make plenty more friends, but having those familiar faces at the start really helped me to warm to the new surroundings.

Welcome Angus

I like that we have picked up a few Bendigo boys having been a Pioneer boy myself (quite a few years ago now)
This kids looks to have pace but a much better kick then I ever had

Pick 70 so no pressure but I like that we keep picking up kids who can kick the footy - we just need them to buy into the game plan and knuckle down

After watching Angus' highlights he is a replica of Willo with a booming left foot and tackles and runs.Cant ask for anything more other than to develop.Another steal I feel.
Not to mention there were a couple of difficult right-foot kicks on the run that he made look easy as you like too. Certainly not one-sided.
