Casboult, 19, is better known for his involvement in two unfortunate off-field incidents over the break, but Blues fans will be hoping the powerfully built rookie can generate headlines on the field as well. The strong-marking forward booted 41.14 for the Dandenong Stingrays last year and could become a fan favourite at a club on the lookout for its next star goalkicker.

AJ! I met him a few months ago at the Glenorchy (his former club) social rooms when he was down here for the Grand Final. It was actually a bit of a wake because Glenorchy were beaten, but I asked him to sign an old Carlton membership cap of mine, which he did.

Nice guy, a bit pissed too that night. But then again so was everyone else, including me!

After last season AJ's already become a cult hero. Nobody expected what he gave and everyone loved him for it hence becoming a new cult hero in the process.

Hampson's the one that I feel will really come along as a cult hero in the eyes of many fans. He's got everything that is required to do so. Height, athleticism, ability and for the ladies he's not a bad lookin' guy.
