Can honestly tell you we won’t be ‘resting’ players. We have got a couple of guys with slight niggles and they may not play this week – we are in the finals so why take the risk with those guys? It’s not a case of them just being sore, if they play they may risk further injury. We’ll be fielding our best side from players available and will be looking to win the game. We have lost our last 3 games so we need to have a win going into finals, our last game against Yarroweyah was close so there is no way we will take them lightly. Losing 4 on the trot isn’t good going into the business end of the season!

Yeah thats right herb, if they are inj well u got no choice but as u stated at the end 4 loses straight heading into finals wouldn't be the best confidence booster but u can only field what's available i guess! Good luck this sat, hope u win or u could be doing it all again next sat!! Cheers :thumbsu:

Hey Herb or Charles Mac I was talking 2 a deni person 2day & they said that the rovers will be resting a few this week 4 the following weeks final?? If true what's ur opinion? Do u guys think that's the best idea if u lose this week & Yarroweyah get in the 5 u'll have 2 play them again next week at strathy & they'll have their tails up from making it in & could give them some extra confidence running into the finals!!
I personally think out of all the sides that deni is in the hardest position, yes it certainly is a good idea to rest some players this week (if true) & head into the finals fresh but on the other hand sometimes being fresh doesn't mean a thing in the finals if the players cant mentally (& i'm not saying that is the case) take themslves 2 the next level for finals footy?? What are ur boys thoughts on this week & the following?? Cheers

Smooth, We have definatly not rested any players. As Herb mentioned we need some winning form going into next week. Like a few clubs we have had a bad run in injuries over the last month and last week was no exception. Luckly most are soft tissue injuries and should be right for next week. As for who playes next week in the elimination final, Blighty are the only ones that can influence who plays. If they win Yarroweyah's season finishes on saturday. Good luck to everyone over the next month. Lets hope for some good weather and big crowds.

Wasnt at the game but talking to some players on Sunday, a injury to Matty Gorman and a few players being below par hurt us a little, thats not taking away from Blighty. had some seoniors coming back through the Magoo's which was our last chance to do so as they will be parking the cars come grand final day!:D

See Berrigan won today. Can someone tell me how was the standard of the game and do you think Berrigan have a chance to challenge Jerilderie next week. In their past 2 meetings, a win by Jerilderie by 7 points and a draw a coulple of weeks ago, do you think Berrigan have the know how to beat Jerilderie.

saints vs cutters was a great game to watch
saints seemed to hold a three goal buffer for last three quarters, their new ruckman gets better every week, 6'8" would be hard for anyone to compete with and young walliss starting to make a name for himself. however 1 key backmen getting reported for arguing with a boundary umpire will not be ideal for them. saints seem to have the match ups worked out fairly well against the dees, should be big FORTH time round..

Going to take a 'wild' stab in the dark and say it was Steve Tonta on report?

Hey magic whats the go there with chase suanders out on the turps last nite? Not the best preparation the night before a game 2 get into the grand final? Then when a berrigan official tried to get him 2 leave he told him what he thought 2? Surely with a potential grand final on the line the boys wouldn't take that??
