Before a few people wet their pants with excitement, remember that IF Jolly leaves it only means we need a ruckman more, it doesn't mean anything in terms of what other clubs might offer for Seaby.
If, for example, Port were going to offer a 3rd rounder for Seaby, Sydney losing Jolly wont make them up their offer. Making sense yet?
Seaby's trade value is governed by two factors IMO.
- How badly do the Swans want him? - if Jolly leaves their need is increased substantially.
- How likely will another club pick up Seaby prior to Sydney in the PSD?
Melbourne are rebuilding and a 25 year old 100 game ruckman would tempt them when they are getting him for nothing in the PSD.
Interesting game of poker this one.
If Jolly goes and the Swans get a couple of low picks for him I can see them giving up a 2nd rounder for Seaby, probably Collingwoods they should get for Jolly and they then still keep 2 first round picks to use on kids.
