It didnt cost them the game, they had time score again and couldnt.

A blatant umpire error cost Hawthorn 4 points. Nothing to do with what Port or Hawthorn did. A lack of concentration from an umpire.

As simple as that.

Did the umpire grab your players by the throat and squeeze them, because it sure looked like a massive choke cost them the game to me.
What you, and the rest of the Vic media sooks fail to recognise is that, whilst the umpire made a mistake with the time on call, you cant just take 19 seconds off the end of the game and say the events in those final 19 seconds didnt happen.

Take those 19 seconds off in real time as should have happened and interchanges happen 19 seconds earlier, 2 minute warning goes up 19 seconds earlier from the bench, players react to those things 19 seconds earlier.

Nothing more evident than a 50 that went their way for kicking the ball away after a contest which resulted in a free kick. Literally minutes later the crowd is silent when a free kick inside 50 is given to hawthorn and the ball also kicked away in exactly the same manner. Could’ve heard a pin drop… so no 50.

They get a dream ride over there.

Thousands of mainly non educated football fans who jumped on the bandwagon when the 2 sides came in and have a tendency to just call one of three things - “Ball, Back”… and Port supporter especially “boooooooo”

Funnily the crowd was 37,000 but at the final siren it was about 22,000. That’s the solace I’m taking from this. Most of the sooks walked out.

The poor old Maggies… donuts this century … a “club” that’s won SFA for 20 years and now a B side getting thrashed with senior power “players” in the side every week.
Need to ship them back off to Ethelton they are have become such an embarrassment.

This weekend we get to celebrate Kenny being the longest serving with zero ultimate success. If Hawthorn play any part in him getting even a week longer in the seat I’m as happy as anyone could be.
