Dempsey (200k) + Sandilands (360k)

vs

Reilly (280k) + McIntosh (300k)

Can't decide on this one and it's my last decision i think. I have a feeling Sandi will explode this year aswell

Read on either bigfooty or fanfooty an adelaide fan saying Reilly might be played out of the backline and not in a way to get heaps of cheap possies. Though i like McIntosh over Sandilands.

Not sure on Dempsey.

OUT: Wells + Gibbs + Malceski
IN: Player 434k or lower + Mackay + Sam Fisher

Or should i not worry about Malceski? He would be the only reason i make this trade. Also not sure on Wells, peoples thoughts?

Player 434k or lower = Brad Green, Cross, Harvey etc

I always seem to post as a page comes to an end so just bumping my post.

Currently have: Gibbs, Wells, Malceski

Gibbs, Wells, Malceski
VS
Brad Green, Mackay, Sam Fisher

What are peoples thoughts on Daniel Jackson as a bit of a smokey??

played well in NAB and might be in for a good year.

Thinking him or haselby +60k

im tossing up between my last backline bench player

Hill vs Broughton? the extra 70k is mighty tempting and i am a bit more interested in my league than overall, its a tough one!

This decision is KILLING ME

To all people Which is better

Ablett and adcock

Or

Scott Thompson and s fisher???????

I'd go with Ablett and Adcock.

Hard to go past Ablett, and I believe Adcock is better than a 70ppg player. Should benefit from Voss's game plan.

Now... Swan or Selwood + $50k (the money wouldn't go towards any other upgrades as I'm happy with everyone else. Well, maybe Bock to Enright but nothing significant)

Definitely Hill. You'll get that extra cash back when you trade him in, plus he will play more games (IMO) and will score better.

Corey + Hentschel vs Swan + Hawksley

Hawksley looks like getting games, and I think is a safer bet than Collier. Im worried about Hentschels ability to stay on the park. Plus with zoning, Hawksley could rack up the cheap possies and Hentschels supply could be limited.

Im unsure about Corey too. Talk of him going into the backline worries me. He might take over Enrights rebounding role, but he will score higher in the midfield. Swan is stupidly consistent, so I know ill get a 105 average from him.

Thoughts?

Depends.

1) Is it for on the bench or field? If field, go with Hill. Otherwise, read on...
2) What do you plan to do with the extra money? If it will make significant changes and the Freo rookie will start on the bench, go with Broughton. If not, go Hill.

Hentschel v Ziebell (on field)
Collier v Geary (onfield - shore-ing up defence a little - Hill on bench)
Hasleby v T.Tuck - (could do Geary->Petrenko, put Hill on field and then choose Boak as 4th midfielder instead of these two)

Those three questions (plus final teams lists) will finalise my squads.

edit: hmmm - if I try and squeeze some $ I could Gia -> Goodwin. Probably not...

Backline:
Hodge, Cornes, Fisher, Goddard, Houlihan, Raines, Hill... 85k in bank

I know I have gone expensive but should I go with Adcock over Houlihan? This would make Adcock a keeper and my 7th back for the year. Would I be better off with the extra 70 odd k for future upgrades or should I stick with Houlihan as my 7th back all year?

Raines and Hill hopefully become Carrazzo and 1 of Scotland/Mackie/Enright.

So pretty much asking Adcock v Houlian + the cash

Well I have Adcock, but obviously have Houlihan as well. Hard to say really. I think Adcock will average more, but then both players are underpriced IMO. Personally, I'd probably get Houlihan.

Can I get some thoughts on the following?

1) Hill, Selwood, Adcock, Enright + $40k
2) Hill, Swan, Bock, Adcock
3) Hill, Selwood, Bock, Newman
4) Krakouer, Selwood, Adcock, Bock

ATM I have option 2, but really not sure now.

Which midfield would you Choose

1) Gary Ablett Jnr, Scott Thompson, Daniel Cross, Joel Selwood, Paul Haselby
2)Gary Ablett Jnr, Scott Thompson Daniel Cross, Daniel Kerr, Danyle Pearce
3)Gary Ablett Jnr, Scott Thompson, Daniel Cross, Nathan Foley, Danyle Pearce

I personally like Thompson and Fisher a lot, Adcock realistically wont be scoring 100+ games, he may avg 75-85 but his role is unclear and it remains to be see how much of the ball he will win. Ablett is obviously a proven star but Thompson has the capability to avg 95-105, which I would expect, and can score in bucket loads on the occasion. Fisher is in a similar boat to Thompson.

In Thompson and Fisher you have two certified keepers.

Edit. changed some stuff around

NG Brown Vs S Johnson up forward?

and P Burg Vs Enright down back?

I am keen to get a few Geelong players in my side, but not sure if in both these cases the opposing player is a better bet and my Geelong vision is clouding the choice

Robinson or Beams?

Same price... both look like getting games as early as this week. Personally I'm leaning towards Robinson because he can play forward as well as in the middle which may help his TOG and job security, however Beams did score a 70 odd in a NAB match.

Out of these options, I'd probably go with option 1. It gives you 4 keepers, and one mid-pricer who will need upgrading. Kerr, Foley and Pearce could be keepers by the end of the year, but certainly could just average between 80-90 which is not a keeper IMO for the mids.

I like your mix of players as well. Thompson and Cross are good players that haven't been in a lot of teams.

Anyone with ideas?

They are all much of a muchness, i think selwood will have a massively consistent year but may not be capable of having the 130 type games swan does, bock is more reliable than adcock will be.. i think Hill is a must have.

I dont love any of the options to be honest, but id probably take hill selwood bock and newman, 3 keepers and a great cow. as i wrote above im not all over adcock, but alot are.

Yeh Im wondering this myself. From what Iv seen Beams looks like a slightly better player and its actually pretty tough to get into Carlton 22 atm (yes, I would say even tougher than Coll's 22). Im really not sure though...
