Sorry, i just wanted to get people's ideas on his upside and whether you think it would be worth getting him given he might only rise 10ppg in average.
Ideally both choices will need an upgrade.
Nah don't apologise, just sounds like you are pretty intent on Lonergan. You should also know more about him being a Bombers supporter, so back your instincts.
I personally don't see him as a big DTer though, and I don't see him with an upside like that of Hase, Tuck or Reilly.
In saying that, I don't have any of the guys you mentioned so read into that what you will?
You decide, but;
Ben Johnson isn't even a certainty for round 1, I would be surprised and annoyed if he was, so steer clear.
Lonergan is a safe bet, like you said he should play 22 games (form permitting), but I haven't seen anything that is going to suggest he will score any differently to last year. Steady and safe performer I guess.
Tuck has a big potential upside, but poses a risk of being pushed out of the
side. I personally don't think he is worth the risk.
Haselby is assured of playing and will undoubtedly increase on his price, he is definitely worth grabbing if you are willing to hold onto him for a while. He won't blast out of the blocks, but he will score as well as Lonergan IMO but will increase in price far more.
Reilly I don't really like, to risky... The bloke can't string a bunch of games together and you are just gonna end up wasting a trade.
If you can afford Johnson, I would consider looking at Adcock.
Adcock and Haselby/Lonergan wouldn't be bad.
