Lids. Ideally you would want both in your team by seasons end, and Buddy should be the easier one to pick up later on.

I've just chosen Franklin.

Reasons
a) I need a hawk.
b) Supposingly up the ground (Richo style) role which I think will be good.
c) Deledio getting the hard tag worries me.
d) He came 3rd in Australia's greatest athlete, should have been 2nd!

*Please note only b/c are my valid reasons.

Still a toughie but. Short term wise, Deledio won't score 80+ against carlton imo.

Who came first in Australias greatest athlete?

Do you think the hard tag will really affect Lids? If he cops heavy attention, he can always go park at FF (like the end of last year). He is too quick off the mark to stop, and will accrue points via goals.

Deledio can deal with tags easily anyway and he's meant to be improving a stack this year.

I'll ask this question again, out of these 4, which are best to worst:

D.Swan
M.Murphy
S.Thompson
K.Cornes
B.Green

Also struggling with Lids v Buddwood, but have opted for Lids at this point.

Unless Kevin Rudd starts handing out Dream Team dollars as well, I've got $1.3m-odd to spend on my top three midfielders.

Currently it's:
Ablett ($500k)
Selwood ($400k)
S. Tuck ($400k)

But I'm tempted by:
Swan ($455k)
K. Cornes ($435k)
Cross ($425k)

I'm hoping the first three would average 295 a week (Ablett 110, Selwood 90, S. Tuck 95), while the second three might average 300 (100 per player). When you add Ablett's captaincy points, though, it's 405 v 400. First lot a bit riskier than the dependabe second bunch.

What's the better option, do you reckon?

ok, which out of these do;

Chapman and Gamble or..

bradshaw and Fev

Also bradshaw or Porplyzia

Porps is injured isn't he? Anyway, I'd probably take Bradshaw and Fev. Chapman seems like too much of injury risk after last year.

Struggling to decide on my final forward. I could list about 20 players in a vs, but basically I need to decide which forward besides Riewoldt, Pavlich or Harvey?

LUCAS v HOULIHAN

lucas has had a dodgy preseason but 2 years ago he was a premium forward.
or will it be a tredrea like comeback from injury.

I don't think anyone knows the answer to that.

Houlihan has been ok, but not outstanding. Our forward setup is very much a guess at the moment.

We have so many options that haven't played that much together it's hard to see who is going to play where exactly.

ATM You have Fev, Fisher, Wiggins, Kruez, Cloke, Houlihan, Walker, Yarran, Betts

I'd be more inclined to go for Lucas, but yeah very hard to pick how he will return

i'd go for franklin and drummond. it's more risky but hey, if drummond gets injured you can always trade him.

My question:

Scotland + Mackay OR J.Selwood + $86,600 centre

?????

I'm leaning towards option 1 because i think scotland could average 100 like he did in 2007 due to the improvement of the blues and i already have a rookie starting in my centres so to have 2 might be a bit risky. is my logic okay?

Id say selwood +rookie but it depends on how many rookies you have in other positions

HOULIHAN v ADCOCK v DRUMMOND v MALCESKI

probably 4 of the most popular around the 300 000 mark (houlihan obviously abit cheaper)

anyone have a sort of summary or ranking of these four

I'd rank them in this order
Houlihan (because of his value), Adcock, Drummond, Malceski

I think all 4 of them will be great picks barring injury ofcourse.

Rank best to worst (scoring potential):
Boak, wells, cousins, kerr, K simpson, Judd, Foley

atm i'm thinking
1)wells
2)foley
3)K simpson
4)Judd
5)cousins
6)Boak
7)kerr

Thoughts?
I need to choose one for my midfield
