Have I ever told you this is my favourite thread? (since the MS Paint one shut down at least) I find myself referring to it every week, but I've just realised it needs an update.

Also for anybody's who's interested I've finally discovered the AFL Rule about terminating players midway through their contracts - you can do it at the end of the current season as long as you can afford to take the lump sum of their entire payout on that year's total player payments (Rule 10.21 - http://www.aflpa.com.au/images/uploads/AFL_Rules_-_Feb_2013_FINAL.pdf).

So given that we've got plenty of room this year if a new coach did want to axe a Bail or a Byrnes they'd probably be able to. More wasted money down the drain.

Personally, pretty happy to see Sylvia go. time to clear the blokes that dont consistently perform and he has been one for far too long. love him when hes on but has too many stinkers. good luck to him in fremantle as to see him win one would be great. Time to throw some cash at 22-24 year old midfielders?
 
Just updated the contracts thread with the following listed as TBC:

Mitch Clisby (upgraded rookie)
Viv Michie
Daniel Nicholson
Aidan Riley
Dom Tyson
Maia Westrupp (International Scholarship)

If anyone can find links to contract details for these guys please post.

who are all TBC in the original thread (P.S I love this thread, great reference material)

Assuming Riley and Nicholson expire this year but interested in the other two.
 
Fitzy can thank his lucky stars he had a good month last year.

They'd want to get onto the McDonald and Dunn (!) contracts; think both could probably warrant the three years they'll ask for.

Frawley, McDonald, Bail, Terlich from the main list, whilst Jetta/Georgiou doing their chances no harm.

You'd have to say Barry is safe, given how young he was when originally drafted but needs to show something next year.

Throw a blanket over Byrnes, Blease, Tapscott, Strauss. All had plenty of chances. Be surprised if more than 1 survives.

May as well have those blokes draw straws as to who survives. Byrnes is gone - adds nothing to the side except to bump up our avg games played. I think one of the other three might be re-rookied like Jetta at the end of last year. If not I expect them all to be delisted/thrown in as 'steak knives' in trades.
 
Pretty much. Disappointed Blease didn't get another shot. Someone will pick him up, probably Richmond.
