tippet.. i hate buddy hes overated. tip due to explode

connors or trengrove?

This is why this thread is so shit. I'm not having a massive go at you personally, there are just way too many answers like this. Come up with some valid answers guys to give people greater insight.

Like the fact Tippett's scores in the last 3 games last year were exceptional. I can't be bothered researching exactly what they were but think he averaged around 120 and looked to take the next step in his career, as 2 of those games were finals. He has averaged 92 over 3 games this preseason. His scores have been 46 on a waterlogged track against the Pies, 149 vs Melbourne where he kicked 5 goals and 81 against Carlton I think. He also has the added advantage of MPP.

Buddy on the other hand is suspended for round 1. His preseason scores have fallen away since his 155 against Richmond in the Nab opener to 53, 31 and 61 in 3 Hawthorn losses. Buddy's price rise/fall will be determined by games against quality opposition in Geelong, the Bulldogs and Collingwood, 3 games I suspect the Hawks will probably lose with a few key players probably out or underdone. His scoring early may be affected and I suspect a price fall and am making Buddy an upgrade target.

Now that's an indepth answer but it's more insightful and helpful than saying "Buddy is overrated" or just saying "Tippett" and giving no reason why

Agreed.

If Roughie goes to ruck then Buddy is going to draw an immense amount of defence.

I'd go with the Hille, Gram Buddy option.

My question....Tippett or Schneider?

Not sure whether Roughy will ruck, maybe there is a chance. I'd be rolling the dice with Grimley or Lisle. Having said that Buddy gets rated on games against Scarlett, Lake/Morris and maybe Presti. Doesn't get much harder than that. Welcome to 2010 Buddy!!! I would have my life on his 1st price change being a loss. I hope he scores 3 10's...LOL. I want to pick him up in a straight swap for a mid priced type like Ziebell:thumbsu:

team just about set, give or take some minor changes with the rookies once first round selection but my big burning issue

Scott Pendlebury and Ryan Griffen

v

Marc Murphy and Luke Ball

Good qn. Honestly I dont have a strong leaning either way. Any chance of Pendles/Ball????

...maybe... MM/LB.

I'd go Murph and Ball, I see much more upside in there. But beware, Murph will be tagged heavily within the first 3 rounds due to Judd being suspended. Like the above poster said, can you do Pendles/Ball?

Mine is:

I need to pick two off

Gia vs Gray vs Higgins vs Franklin (note if I get Higgins I cannot buy Franklin, an vice versa)

Atm I have Higgins and Gray but keep switching.

i'd go with higgins and gray - safest option in terms of consistent scoring.

my final dilemma is:

(kennelly/medhurst) vs (malceski/hall)

Malcieski/Hall in a canter

Medhurst is scoring well pre-season but he will go missing. Hall's risk is he will lose it, but otherwise he is probably the best mid-range value by a mile.

What about Roberts v Hitchcock, now that roberts has been named as a definite starter, i am leaning towards him to avoid the risk of being locked out in Hitchcock doesn't get named

Definate option, in fact i'm leaning Pendles Ball now, as it will free up some cash if, as expected, i'm going to have find someone to replace silvagni....

Macdonald, Gram or Kennelly (already have Malceski)?

Medhurst or Ziebell (Medhurst too expensive if Macdonald is in side)
Macdonald and Ziebell. Macdonald you would think will have great responsibility in a young Melbourne side and should do a bulk of their scoring.

Mine question. Taylor Walker vs Chris Yarran vs Hayden Ballantyne vs Chris Mayne

Injury concern on Ballantyne otherwise he would be the automatic pick

Ziebell v Dangerfield v Medhurst?
Dangerfield. Ziebell breakes the #1 rule, and meddy had to be AA to avergae a measly 88... Plus, get midfielders where you can.

Dangergield or Hall?

I know, i shoutl take my own advice... lol

Also,

Tippet or M Clarke?

Pendles v Bartel v Boyd v Goodes?

Have enough for all, all consistent scorers.

Leaning towards Boyd as Doggies fly out of the gates, then upgrading to Pendles later on.

Yeah, thats a good idea, but if its possible id go pendels right off the bat,

My question

Hille, Naitanui, Warnock, Grimley + $62,300
or
Ottens, Hille, Warnock, 83K ruck + $6,900
or
Ottens, Naitanui, Warnock, Grimley, + $2,500

So far gone with option 1
Thoughts would be great.

Gone with the same option but have Lobbe instead of Grimely.

To Ablett or not-to-Ablett is my question. Really would throw a huge spanner in the works if I took him out now but I'm 2nd guessing him being able to pull 140+ right off the bat.

I have had him all along but decided to get rid after him after listening to Bomber Thompson yesterday, at best I see him averaging 125 this year which mean he will be easy enough to get back in later in the season.. I replaced him with Dal Santo and in doing so I have come up with this problem:

Broughton/Newman/Grimes + Malceski

or

Kelly/Harbrow/Mattner + Kennelly

Better option and which player would u choose?

Giansiracusa vs Houlihan and Medhurst vs Dangerfield??

Currently have Gia and Dangerfield but also considering Houlihan and Medhurst as well as both have had excellent preseasons.

and ladson or m.robinson

These questions seem awkward, but Malceski and Ladson.

I've got 3 or 4

Matt Maguire and Alex Silvagni or Jordan Lisle and Ben Nason (will start rnd one, squads just came out)?

Macdonald or Gram? (still undecided, to be honest)

Ziebell or Medhurst? (Unable to afford Ziebell if I buy Silvagni, Maguire and Macdonald)
