Interesting to note all the Essendon supporters commenting on how "buff" their players are looking.

Over on the other side of the Moonee Ponds Creek the North players are commenting that their pre-season work rate is up 150-200% on previous seasons.

Round 1 is 71 days away.

Apparently we're having the toughest pre-season ever as well. I'm sure all clubs are.

150-200%?

So if they were running 5km last year, it's 12.5km-15km this year.
For 2hrs in the gym last year it's 5-6hrs this year.

I'm sorry, I can't quite believe you.

I thought the second one was

"No, not West LAKES, West SYDNEY... yeah, I know Tom, I didn't know there was a ground there either... understandable... look, I've printed directions off google maps: you need to drive East to Melbourne, then hit the Hume, and once you're in Sydney hook a left..."

Arnot is 18 and is bigger than almost anyone else on the list. Geniune concern for the player gets in his way.

I watched him play TAC cup grand final. He was rotated every 5 min. He stood out even more amongst the young boys. However, I think he may be too big as it gets very hard to carry that sort of bulk around.

Not my club but I often peruse AFL club facebooks when I'm bored at work.

Don't know this guy's name. I know he is tensing and isn't that big, but notice the difference between his arms and legs. Bit of a contrast.

Edit: could be Skinner?

That is Skinner. He is a non-top end aboriginal. He will never ever ever ever have anything but the skinniest wrists and ankles. It is funny to see the old ladies there. No matter how fat they get after 40 years of bully beef, white bread and billy tea made with condensed milk their wrists and ankles are still so skinny.

Same goes for the blokes. Of course anyone with any knowledge of running and jumping would know that calf muscles that start higher up the leg mean that you have a longer achillies heel and are better at sprinting and jumping then people who don't.

You can just disregard virtually everything he says as biased rubbish, especially where Essendon are concerned.

The quote is legit, most are reporting a far greater output than this time last year as you would expect from a young team. Couple it with an almost fully fit list and its night and day to our last pre-season.

Also I would assume 150% of 5km would be 7.5 km?

I suggest you go back to school and ask for a refund!

Are you arguing that 150% of 5km is actually 12.5kms, or have I missed something?

50% of 5km = 2.5km
100% of 5km = 5km
150% of 5km = 7.5km
200% of 5km = 10km
250% of 5km = 12.5km
