A horrific shattered ankle injury in 2020. Had to have 3 surgeries on it to put it back together. Basically what you would expect to see in a high-speed car collision.

Remarkably, played a game in 2022 - it was a 372-day recovery, but he's nothing like the player he was. Feel for the guy.

I think whoever mentioned Lachy Keeffe wins this thread comfortably, closely followed by Robbie Tarrant and Phil Davis.

Only 10 players (Franklin, Pendlebury, Hawkins, Boak, Riewoldt, Goldstein, Cotchin, Dangerfield, Tarrant and Taylor Walker) have been on AFL lists longer (discounting time between national and pre-season/rookie draft).

I doubt you'd even be talking about him if his name wasn't Silvagni. Plenty of worse players on that Carlton list that should go before him.
