The player I still talk about is Neale Daniher.
How good was he. Well in 1981 at 19 he was B & F, won several games of his own boot, was made Captain at the end of that season (in a side that contained Terry Daniher, Simon Madden, Tim Watson etc) and basically suffered a career ending knee injury.
Until Hird came along i considered him the best Essendon player I ever saw.
