My sources tell me that the Jpod is on the couch tonight with Healy Sheehan and Hird.

Don't shoot me if I'm wrong but just passing on something I was told.

Should be great watching - put the stopwatch on Sheehan going for the zipper and dropping the strides - he loves the JPod.

Not trying to sound like a smart-ass, but last night on the Fox Sports site I saw 'jPod on the couch' as one of their mini-headlines.

No problems at all ..... just heard it a while ago so thought I'd mention it. Just assumed if it were true we might have heard a bit more about it. Should be good viewing ..... sounds as though he might miss with either the groin soreness or suspension anyway so not a bad week to be doing some media.

looking forward to this

Although the missus hates me putting it on, On the Couch is one of the better analysis shows.

Hopefully with the inclusion of Pods, i will get to watch more than just whats on offer during the MasterChef ad breaks.

Gah...

First time I've heard him interviewed (don't watch that much TV) and gotta say that he seems like a really down to earth bloke who is just loving the chance he has finally got. You've probably heard it a million times already but it really is a great story and he has made your side even better (which is scary).

Yeah he seems like a very humble decent bloke which I like.:thumbsu:

What else did he stuff up?

Was it a good inteerview?
Did he say anything interesting?

I guess you couldn't tell on the Tv how the groin was? :p

He didn't hold a grudge to any club for not selecting/drafting him earlier in his football career.

He reached a point where he decided that his career in fitness was his number one priority and footy was just a nice sideline for him.

He said Bomber Thompson's best trait as a Coach is his ability to motivate the players to play well for him and that he is just as layed back and relax off field as he is on the TV.

He was asked what the difference was between VFL & AFL? He replied that VFL can have a similar intensity sometimes but the skill errors are much more pronounced. But the speed and physicality of AFL is quite different to VFL.

Asked if he would like to be playing in the GF this year? He said that of course he would but if they make it he has to take his chances at the selection table like everyone else and if it doesn't go his way then he can except that.

Watching the clips of him playing a NAB cup game for the Pies in.... 2002 was it.... he looked a natural defender. Obviously they only showed a few good clips and not stuff ups he might've made but he looked very much at home.

Scary to think what could've been if footy was his number 1 focus over the years, especially given he started so late (only played a couple of seasons before being rookie listed by the Dons in 2000).

There didn't seem to be a hint of an ego there either, nice lad and just what the rest of the comp didn't want to see Geelong bring to the table as a player. Good luck to ya's.

Apart from Pods' name - no surprise there - Healy once again referred to our vastly improved left-footed goalsneak as Shannon Byrne.

Jesus, how hard is it to pronounce people's names correctly you morons? It's Byrnes. B-Y-R-N-E-S. It's hardly complicated.

Sounds good. Sounds like it was a much more serious interview than the BTG stuff, as you would expect.

I just love that the JPOD is so straight down the line and realistic about everything...good mentor to have for our kids.

I'm surprised to hear Bomber is so relaxed...good on him for being able to be like that when footy is such a pressurised environment thesedays.

I hope he plays in a GF, but like him, I'm realistic....one week at a time and let's see how we go.

Listening to Healy on AW , he said after the show the jPod did something that no other player had done in 10 years of doing the show. He asked the floor manager if he needed a hand moving the couch. Now there's a bloke who has his feet on the floor.

Actually its been revealing seeing who many interviews he has been allowed to do , the club must have told him to just jump into the whole AFL experience , no use holding back when your 28 I suppose.

That shows pure class!!
Just one more reason to love the jPod...
