Polak re-signs

Some of you Eagle fans calling Polak a crab really are clueless. He might not be the best set shot kick but his field kicking is good.

He will be a gun, one of the best contested marks in the competition and only just turned 20. Last year, Polak took more contested marks than Gardiner, Cox, McDougall, Jakovich and Glass combined. Now there is a stat. Not bad for an 18yr old.

I love how when you talk about Seaby, it's all bright because he is developing nicely but when you talk about Polak (who was drafted in the same year and is younger than Seaby), he hasn't produced and is a crab

Polak is a very talented player and not many players I would trade him for.

Polak is treading a path similar to alot of players but he can look at Justin Longmuir for inspiration. Basicly big boys take a bit longer to mature. Some get into full reign by 20, alot just start to thrive from 21 - 22 onwards.

Justin Longmuir has been in the "promise" category for a couple of years, and this year he has finally blossomed at the age of 22.

As for pay, I expect Elvis McPharlin to be well rewarded and Polak to be on less.

He has?

So Connolly rates him then. I see.

His form has been excellent Porthos. I suggest you watch more of our games. Only against Port in the last 2 months he has struggled a bit.

Been our best player by a mile over the last 2 months IMO.

So excluding Port Adelaide then in the last seven games when he's been getting votes, you've played Richmond, Bulldogs, Kangaroos, Adelaide, Sydney & Carlton.

He might be in a bit of a purple patch at the minute, against mostly poor sides, but to say that he has blossomed as if this were a permanent change of play I think is more than a bit of a leap. Even more so that it would inspiring to Polak, who lets face it, has crapped on Longmuir's achievements at the same age.

I never doubted that he'd continue to be at our club. But now that he has signed, who are we going to speculate about in a straight swap for Kerr? I know, Simmo is yet to sign a new contract...;)

Seems to me there is a little touch of the ole sour grapes floating around that Polak has signed with Fremantle. Can understand why he signed though, young fella, club with a huge potential.

Porthos - worry about the game against the Dees - Geelong is looking at your spot in the top 4

Certainly Fremantle aren't.

Porthos,
Well we wil wait and see won't we
Yep.

By my reckoning you'll probably need to win all of your remaining games, while we'd need to lose to three of Melbourne, Bulldogs, Adelaide and Collingwood.

Incidentally, its pretty weak that you needed to brag about a club other than your own (namely Geelong) as a comeback just now.
