But that's an entirely different thing, if you're going to a topless beach then you should be aware that people will be topless there and it isn't illegal.
Also this is about a naked photo of a women being shared, if you're captured on CCTV naked then you're probably already breaking public indecency laws anyway.

Not sure that is true.

The rules are different in different countries and in many places there are dedicated nudist beaches.

Put it this way I do not go to the beach with the expectation to see topless torsos put it that way!!!

Are u saying I can sue then some of these celebrities for convenient malfunctions to expose far more than a bit of torso then? Maybe we should instigate a class action against some of these multi-millionaires who earn off their exposure?

Strict rules of no pictures to be taken when you're at the strippers.
Well that depends.
After the street party on the Saturday night, I ventured to a King St place of such establishment as you do when you are totally high on adrenaline and beer.
A young woman actually took a selfie of herself wearing my scarf and cap and then handed the phone back to me.
The point is I did not distribute it and have since deleted it anyway.
It could have been very easy to quickly fire off a message to mates with the pic. I'm bloody glad I didn't.
A moment of madness by the said player perhaps? Still doesn't make it right. But I can see how it happens.

The party is OVER
POLICE are probing a Richmond star over a topless photo scandal showing a young woman wearing his AFL Premiership medal.

The woman has claimed she is a victim of revenge pr0n after the images of her topless were widely circulated online and through text messages without her permission or knowledge.

The Herald Sun can confirm the AFL Integrity Unit is investigating the leaked photo and has been dealing with the woman for several days.

It can be revealed while the female consented to the photo being taken, the Richmond player told her it had been deleted from his phone.

But instead, he kept the picture and sent it out to his friendship circle.

The story was broken exclusively onheraldsun.com.au at 7.15pm.

$50,000 and a job placement from the Herald Scum shits all over working in some deadend temp job at maccas

You never know, you may have avoided a trap. still benefit of the doubt..

perhaps. I'm just saying it would be very easy to do. Once you hit that button and send it, you can't take it back.
One moment of madness while caught up in the situation is all it takes.
I'm on the woman's side of this story by the way.
But having experienced what I experienced, I can see how easily this would have happened.

I can also easily see how it can happen under many situations particularly when peoples minds are influenced, frankly I am on no ones side yet and frankly I would be surprised if anyone except those who were there will know the full truth!

If you can't understand the difference between sharing pictures on the internet without consent and someone with their top off at the beach then I suggest you log off and don't post in here anymore

Actually, when I go to the beach I give no one my consent for them to be topless in my presence unless I say so!!!!

Like it or not!!!

If you cannot see your hypocrisy I find that far more troubling.

Likewise if u cannot see the difference between sharing anything without consent and unauthorised CCTV in public places again I fret at the hypocrisy

And as long as it is not illegal to be topless in that area then you are free to leave

Any way you look at it, it's a completely different situation to this one

Who said its legal and not discriminatory?

Catalonia is part of Spain legally but many inhabitants are prepared to go to war for independency it seems and say it is not so. What is legal and want is illegal and what is enforced and what is not enforced and what is right and what is wrong are all different instances!!

By the way, the original photo shows the young woman's face. I have seen it.

This is probably the most relevant fact yet if true which I assume it is.

If this is the case then there could be a problem because the identity becomes a privacy thing. The question then becomes IMO how far the full image was distributed and who made the full image public if at all?

No offence but this is a very naive post.

A few variables in this and if she truly feels violated by the image being shared then fair enough, and she has every right to have the offender punished by the law. I'm not condoning the behaviour of the player in question.

My gut feel however based on the assumptions I have made (which were formed by info I'd been given), is that she is chasing some form of compensation out of this which is why I don't believe it will progress further with the police. The club would make contact and look to settle outside of this and in return she wouldn't press charges.

The player in question will still be punished to some degree by AFL and club but I'm predicting not by police.........

Agree, if her face was shown in any picture then I wouldn't hesitate in believing she genuinely feels aggrieved

Is that because we have only heard her side of the story, until we see both sides and hear of the end result i don't think sides can be taken at all, remember dustygate.
