USA Policy positions of Donald Trump; let's see how many he achieves

So atoms don’t exist? Cells? All the bacteria floating around in his gut, keeping him alive?

And of course, God too. Since he can’t see God.
Exactly what I just thought. He doesn’t believe in things he can’t see, yet calls himself a Christian, when it’s entire tenet is based on faith - believing in someone even though you can’t see them.

it's pretty alarming to see someone now so senior in US health still pushing the idea that vaccines can bring on autism.

mind boggling given the science

Absolutely true.

Add to that the fact that completely missed the very first chance he had to demonstrate to the public that he was a serious public health candidate, indeed implicitly promoted one of the main impediments to changing American diets for the better (actually, two - partially drunk Coke, FFS), and it's clear that he's a massive fraud.

Yes, you've posted the same numerous times.

The Maccas and Coke thing is just further proof of his fraudulence, IMO. The head of health in a country of 331 million people sending that message is unacceptable.

Of course, the real issue is that he is too much of a pussy to challenge Trump, even on something as basic and simple as this. It's indicative of how ineffective Trump's team of slurping sycophants will be in the most important roles in the country. The US is about to be fatally weakened.

It’s his first appearance as the person who will be in charge of health. He’s in a country that has high rates of obesity and high rates of diet- related chronic diseases. Can he really not do a little bit better than maccas and coke?

optics could have been better, just dont think its that big of a deal though.

He’s not actually in charge. Not yet. Even if confirmed he won’t start until Jan 20th.

Do agree it’s a pretty ordinary look.

Gaetz , faux head , and gubbard are worse selections , the damage they could cause are worse
I'm inclined to agree. He's the least dangerous of the four, if only because I think he'll just find himself out of his depth once he gets there and tries to "look at the data". That's not to say he can't do some damage, but I think the health agencies will prove tough to change, and there's some duplication with the states' responsibilities.

President-elect Donald Trump said Sunday he was naming Brendan Carr as the next Federal Communications Commission chairman, positioning the regulatory agency to do battle against social media companies and TV broadcasters that Republicans portray as too liberal.
Carr, 45, the senior Republican among the FCC’s five commissioners, has vowed in recent days to take on what he called a “censorship cartel” including Facebook, Google, Apple and Microsoft. Earlier this year, he laid out an aggressive agenda for the FCC in Project 2025, a conservative proposal for Trump’s second term developed by the Heritage Foundation. Carr has been a vocal supporter of billionaire Elon Musk and an advocate of tougher restrictions on China.

“I know nothing about Project 2025”
