Mark Harvey was caretaker coach of Fremantle after Connolly got the flick.

Chris has 1 year less.
Brad became Pies assistant end 2006.
Chris became Freo assistant end 2007.

I hear ya, they both would have been assistants for 3 years before becoming senior coaches. although Brad now obviously has an extra year as a coach at any level.

On results alone he probably deserves it. But apparently they didn't want someone from the inside. Interesting given that all their coaches till date have been Port stalwarts.

Primus is a bit stiff but it was stated all along that his performances now aren't the key factors in him getting the job, but the presentation to the board...I'd really like to sit in on these presentations haha...hope this is true, the type of character we need at our club at the moment
