Because all everyone wants to do is trade basketball cards like normal kids, but he keeps telling us that his Schrempf card is a Bryant Rookie Card. Every. Single. Day.

Jake Lever likes this.Someone needs to steal the washing basket they place those guernseys in and burn them in the carpark of alberton oval
VFL was replayed on Sunday morning tv in SA in the 1960's.I grew up in that era, it wasn’t until the ABC program the Winners was on Sunday evenings that the VFL was ever mentioned. I believe this was around 1977. It was only then that on Monday mornings at school people started talking about the VFL. I liked Richmond as a kid for reasons unknown but never really followed them, my whole footy world was my WAFL side, I loved them, I wanted to play for them and more than anything I wanted to play on the big stage at Subiaco oval on the last Saturday in September. 99% of WA people were the same.
I am guessing you are a lot younger than me so you never really grew up through those eras, you are basing your assumptions on where we are today and trying to work backward and thinking things have always been this way.
I am factually telling you it wasn’t like as you say it was. And unless you grew up in SA or WA in the 70’s you simply don’t know what we thought about footy and where our allegiance was. The be all and end all of footy at that time was footy in our state. It is that simple.
I thought he was on his own? Where is this going? It’s not that obvious?Because all everyone wants to do is trade basketball cards like normal kids, but he keeps telling us that his Schrempf card is a Bryant Rookie Card. Every. Single. Day.
Interesting now you mention it. It's probably all just a publicity stunt that wouldn't work if the bars and colours didn't belong to Collingwood. Bravo Kochy.Tough bikkies. They have about 8 different "herritage" jumper designs they could wear but they just choose the prison bars to pick a fight.
Freo is Purple, Red, Green and White but folks in Melbourne don't lose their shit when they wear Purple and White.Like Mark Williams said
Teal..... View attachment 1122604 Move on or write a letter to Gil as you're wasting you're opinion on here as PORT ADELAIDE POWER IS TEAL AND WILL NEVER WEAR BLACK AND WHITE STRIPES FOR EVERY GAME WHICH THEY ARE SLYLY TRYING TO ACHIEVE. Marketing 101 when a club is in debt the president trys to give fans (false) hope for more memberships and revenue profit..... plus also Ed takes the focus and heat off buckleys coaching future going over the top with an opinion....
Eddie needs to STFU. He does not represent Collingwood any more. The first sentence was more than enough. The full quote from Eddie McGuire:
"Haha, no, nothing from me. All I will say is that the AFL may be saying nothing, but that is a direct poke in the eye to Gillon McLachlan and the AFL Commission. They're playing with fire now Port Adelaide on this, because they have signed an agreement that they would not manufacture any of those jumpers for merchandise, and as we've seen in the crowd, they're starting to overplay their hand a little bit here. It's moved out of Collingwood and Port Adelaide. Now they're taking on city hall, who give them seven million dollars a year more than any... than, uh, the Collingwood Football Club. That's fire. So, there you go. David Koch is sticking his nose into AFL territory now. It's a big snized snose (sic) and I hope he doesn't get it broken."
Literally ever player on Ports list is better than any player the Crows have coming through. The smart thing to do would be to stick to the Crows board for the next 10 years. You can't troll us.

I truly believe PAFC would. It was the essence of the Heritage Round agreement that Eddie and Gil proposed "in good faith" knowing that it would only last a year.So hypothetically Port fans, if the AFL said that Port could wear the PB’s for the home showdown every year and not on any other occasion ever again and draw up a contract which couldn’t be debated or broken ever, would Port sign it?
If so why hasn’t this happened already?
What a great analogy. I reckon I nearly get it. So Port want to sell their Prison Bars to other clubs, or trade it for another guernsey?Because all everyone wants to do is trade basketball cards like normal kids, but he keeps telling us that his Schrempf card is a Bryant Rookie Card. Every. Single. Day.
Of all the theme rounds heritage round was my fav why did that get stopped ?
LOL at Tim Watson telling Port Adelaide fans and players what they probably deep down truly feel about the guernsey wearing last night.
I can play that game too.
I guess if you want you and your son to maintain their free cheques to push the Vic line on Ch7 then you say these things. Deep down they know that they're playing a charade and feel a little like frauds, but whatever pays the bills.
See, terrible isn't it when you talk for others you don't know.
No beef with port and no love for the Pies, but to come after a game and change into other jumpers to try and make a point just seems childish to me.
And see, that doesn’t bother me but you can see why some don’t trust Port. Plenty on here saying that they only want it worn once per year which isn’t really true is it?
I could see the AFL say perhaps once per year but I’d doubt they would agree to any more.
So back to my hypothetical, if the AFL said here is a iron clad agreement for once per year and never again be discussed or argued would you sign it?
You can’t know that.Tim Watson doesn't post here
No he doesn't. And fans don't talk at half time on Ch7 either. But he's not adding anything to the debate by misrepresenting what I'm really thinking is he?Tim Watson doesn't post here
The AFL reserves will happen, just a matter of when so I wonder when Port and the Crows join that their reserves will also have lose the PB’s?I have read this entire document - and cannot find Eddie's name, or Collingwood's name. Not once.
I did find this.... so Collingwood and Eddie can just calm down, its NOT THEIR DECISION.

Almost all the PB guernseys in the crowd are SANFL ones by the way - we do have a team in the SANFL, that is called the Magpies and are B&W. Our apologies.
good question. The AFL reserves will happen, just a matter of when so I wonder when Port and the Crows join that their reserves will also have lose the PB’s?

I don’t know the ins or outs of how the board at Port works but whilst you are so heavily in debt wouldn’t it be prudent for the AFL to have some say until you get back to your feet? It’s just my opinion and it may be different from others but for what it is worth, here it is.
The #bringbackthebars campaign is part of a wider narrative within the PAFC community in that the PAFC community would like control of the PAFC. A PAFC member elected board. A PAFC member owned club. A PAFC identity that is defined, promoted, and aspired to by all with the PAFC community. To this end, what the PAFC wear should be within the purview of the PAFC.
Indeed, I would support a movement by any club who is moving towards more control of their own club.
So the short answer is we are not asking ‘to just wear a jumper’, we are positioning for greater control of our football club.
So hypothetically Port fans, if the AFL said that Port could wear the PB’s for the home showdown every year and not on any other occasion ever again and draw up a contract which couldn’t be debated or broken ever, would Port sign it?
