Port and their sneaky kick-in tactic exposed.

wouldn't it class as 2 balls on the field at once ?

I would have thought the one that goes out of bounds would be considered a dead-ball.

Are they still whingeing over Sydney stealing Tippett?

If you ever read the Adelaide board, you'd know most of our whinging is saved for Trigg.

Don't see the issue with it as it's described (haven't watched the video - on mobile). At any rate, aren't the other team supposed to be setting up their kick in defensive zone whilst the shots being taken? That's what most clubs do anyway, so it's just negating that tactic.

Hmm interesting stuff. if its allowed then good on them..... could backfire if it drops short and they have 1 extra player out of play....

Haven't seen a bigger case of cheating since Pendlebury sock-gate.

It reminds of the time that club said their player had the flu but is was really a hammy.

It's outrageous in its audacity.

the only solution to this is to chemically castrate the entire power playing squad, coaching panel and back office staff

that'll teach em..

When is a player "out of play"? It's not just when they cross the boundary, otherwise players running along the wing would be out of play when their feat cross the boundary. IMHO, just because the Port player was outside the circle, doesn't mean he was still "in play", and therefore probably shouldn't be allowed to pick up another ball.

Out of play in my opinion is sitting/standing at the bench waiting to come back on

Oh well, lets keep talking about our showdown win in round 2. Or perhaps we could keep reliving winning 3 of the last 4 showdowns, or whatabout the first ever showdown in 1997. Seriously, anyone who is a true football person, will bask in a victory for a day or 2 and then move on.

Port supporters do
Not saying you do, but god some of them havent let me forget it recently, even tho it was 3 months ago.

Needless to say I will wholeheartedly enjoy us scraping into 8th and playing you guys in round 1 of the finals.

Would be classic to knock you out after being self proclaimed premiership favourites.

I bet poor old Brent Reilly wished they had brought it back. The only thing exposed was his lack of footspeed.

And lack of awareness about said legspeed.
Shouldve seen it was white, and tried to cut down the angle rather than chasing him step for step. There was literally nobody else to give the ball to...

Coming from a bloke that says I should contact my mate Trigg and your Avatar is sack Trigg, great way to support your club er corporation

So you would've prefered your club keep Primus and whatever joker was running the show before Thomas, Hinkley and Koch took over?

Presuming you were first in line to 'support your club' when Primus was underperforming?

Says the person whose username is basking in a victory 10 years ago. Maybe you should move on.

Don't see an issue with it if it's not against the rules. If it really is a loophole, it's up to the AFL to close it. Why should we blame Port for trying to move the ball out of defense quickly?

We're not.
We're saying its rediculous that they were allowed to kick the ball back into play before the ohter one had even landed.
The guy kicking out had the ball in hand in the goalsquare before the ball had even got close to the line.

Can't be too careful, I think the entire state should receive this treatment. It would also be good for the country as a whole.
