I don't see too many spots open on the roster for guys not quick enough to be a midfielder, not athletic enough to be wingmen and not tall enough to be a KPP. As such I think one Lower is enough, and even that one has to know that his name will be discussed every year come delisting conversations. He has to be better than "useful depth not in our best 22 but in our best 30" to have a career of more than just a few seasons.
To have a career, I see him as the 'quarterback tagger' on a HFF against teams with a Heath Shaw/Andrew McLeod type HBF, and as a standard HBF or tagging midfielder against teams that don't. It's an "iffy" position in the team though and highly dependent on match ups, even in form I see him as being in-and-out of the 22 on match-ups.
I like to think that our list will be strong enough in 2 years that we'll have to delist him to make room for new draftees, but would be happy for him to stick, because his work on the HFF in one of the finals was great.
