...just in time for players' names to be put on jumpers
What about this name on the player's shirt? His name is Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink.

A bit like all the Team GB athletes getting MBEs for winning an Olympic gold medal...
Tigers life membership rule “diminishes” honour: Brown
Former Hawthorn and Gold Coast defender Campbell Brown believes winning a premiership shouldn’t entitle a player to automatically receive life membership at that club.
At Richmond’s annual general meeting earlier this week, a constitution was passed which allowed the 22 2017 Tiger premiership players, along with past members of flag teams, to be eligible for life membership.
The previous guidelines for Richmond life membership were players who had won multiple VFL/AFL premierships, or a single VFL/AFL flag holder who played a minimum of 100 matches.

That would make Aaron Keating a 6-game life member of Adelaide. And his GF stats - wait for it - no disposals, 3 hitouts, 1 tackle and 1 free against. What a champion.

Just slightly better than Aaron Shattock, who apparently didn't record a single stat when he played for Brisvegas in the 2003 gf. ;)

In our GF, Wilbur had very light stats - I’m pretty sure 0 kicks. May have had a hb or two",
7 handballs( did a dodgy drop kick from a tackle that caused a spillage. He was adjudged holding the ball.) But he laid plenty of tackles and shepherds - one led to that great run down the members wing in the last quarter by Byron.

If you are bored have a gander at the Dixon v Jenkins thread on the clowns board. It really does separate the full time idiots from the part time ones.

Stupidity of the responses aside, why does that thread even exist? Do they have a player comparison for every comparable player? Where’s the Atkins v Polec thread?

The two are about as chalk and cheese as you can possibly get, other than the fact they play at the same end of the ground. Best contested mark in the league versus....well......you know.

The only contested mark they have in their forward line is McGovern, but even he isn’t the main go to guy.

AFL FOOTBALL operations general manager Steve Hocking will front a news conference at 2.15pm AEDT to detail major changes to the AFL's Match Review Panel structure.
Hocking - who joined the AFL in mid-October - is expected to reveal significant changes to the MRP process which is often one of the most controversial areas for weekly debate among football fans.
You can watch his media conference LIVE on AFL.com.au and the AFL Live App.

Well are they going to bloody fix this once and for all, or are well still going to get the merry-go-round decisions.:D

Because "they don't care" :drunk:

I think the only sensible response in that thread is that Jenkins is a spud that is carried by the rest of their forward line.

One bloke was switched on enough to say that Dixon in their setup would look great and JJ in our setup would be a joke. Couldn’t agree more. Someone like Betts or McGovern would be talented enough to impact even in our dysfunctional forward line, in the same way that Dixon, Wingard and R. Gray are. But Jenkins’ career is based entirely on their system, and when it falls apart (as it did on GF day) he’s SANFL standard.

Jenkins is in the same boat as Lobbe a couple years back. Only getting games to justify his contract. Complete liability.

Josh the Goose isn't a complete liability. He kicks la lot of goals. He does alright in their structure, he just doesn't play like a bloke his size should. If he was asked to play the same role as Dixon does, he'd be in a world of trouble because he hates body contact. He did the smart thing by staying at Adelaide and not taking the reported $800k at Brisbane because there he would have been forced to play as the KPF, were he would have been totally found out....like he was on Grand Final Day.

He is a liability. Any player in the competition could play that role just as effectively. It’s not difficult. The reason they don’t is because it hurts the team.
Carn mate, your hate of the Crows has clouded your judgement, his size and speed make him a difficult match up, he's not a power forward and they don't expect him to play like one...if Watts can produce what Jenkins has, I dare say all Port supporters would be happy...
