So, the Age is reporting* that umpires are being coached during games. This seems a bit of an issue.

*paywalled, so not linking.
I read the article. It’s been happening for years.

The coaching isn’t about making calls, it’s about positioning and handing over control.

The article is a storm in a tea cup. Some not-named coach was having a whinge.

Nick Daicos has a habit of commenting on other club’s players. Wasn’t he openly courting Bailey Smith?
Are people actually silly enough to think that this is actually Nick Daicos's twitter account?

And not someone who is just using the name that changed their account name, after promising to do whatever the top response says if Port came back against Hawthorn.

I know this is crap, but still, Jason Horne-Francis anyone?

Zac Guthrie hahahahahah

I reckon I could make an AA side if I put on a Geelong guernsey and walked around AFL House long enough that people started noticing me.

Clarkson admitted during the AFL Integrity Unit's investigation that he had sworn loudly and used inappropriate language in response to an umpiring decision during the third quarter while standing near the umpires' and officials' bench.

However after talking to match officials, the AFL was not satisfied Clarkson's outburst was directed towards a specific person or match official, and therefore found no breach of AFL rules.

Who hasn't sworn into the ether at a game of footy. Play on.

And the AFL’s carpet gets a little bumpier.

Just heard during half time that Clarkson will coach from the box for the rest of the year so he won’t get caught up in any other incidents.
Has that bloke got no control of himself.

this is our fixure for the rest of the year after carlton, im struggling to see us win many of these games, bar richmond, potentially st kilda
