That was a pretty shitty AO. The sport is really missing the star power now.

Why do footy clubs all feel the need to weigh in about Australia Day? Sitting on the fence and not saying anything at all would be far less divisive.

When even indigenous people think the WTC stuff has gone too far you know it's drifted into white bread suits virtue signalling.Just the saw the Sam Newman interview on Sky News. Normally I think he's a total flog but I couldn't agree more with him regarding the welcome to country that's been forced upon us.
He had a crack at the AFL as the worst culprits and he's bang on.
I love indigenous round but I'm sick of every event or speech being opened with WTC. It's about time we reserve wtc for events that it's applicable to and not just a blanket tick in the box.
I've got 2 of those in my garden.
Went to the beach too & where I was there was a very diverse range of nationalities enjoying the beautiful weather.I’m not against the AD date being changed one way or another.
Though I’ve just got back from the beach for a swim and there’s hundreds of marquees set up along the shoreline.
99.9% of these people are white Caucasian, some families that have children with majority of their kids sporting mullets.
Kind of puts in perspective the demographic of the type of people that do care.
I have replied to this post over on the Domestic Politics thread. Makes sense to move the subject from the AFL thread.I've posted before that we should declare Australia a republic and celebrate Republic Day on the last Monday in January, replacing Australia Day as a public holiday.
Bloody wokes ruining our beaches!!Went to the beach too & where I was there was a very diverse range of nationalities enjoying the beautiful weather.

There was a video recently of a woman doing WTC in the USA at a seminar..
Out of 370mill odd population. And even less believable that 81m 'voted' for Biden in 2020 lol
This has been true since Agassi and Sampras retired. That was a pretty shitty AO. The sport is really missing the star power now.
We could still recognise 26th Jan as "Nationality & Citizenship Day" which first occurred in 1949, rather than as Australia Day.Heard Albo at Oz day ceremony this morning say that the first 7 people to became naturalized Australian citizens, was on 26th Jan 1949, when Ben Chifley did the honours in Canberra.
So Australians travelled on British passports before that? Were still British Subjects?
I wonder when Sect 44 of the constitution re politicians and dual citizens not being able to run for parliament, subsection (i)
"is under any acknowledgment of allegiance, obedience, or adherence to a foreign power, or is a subject or a citizen or entitled to the rights or privileges of a subject or a citizen of a foreign power;"
stopped applying to British/UKian born people with dual citizenship as UK was now seen as a foreign power?
1901 - Federation, probably not, or
1931 - Statute of Westminster passed in UK after the dominions had an input and they got increased sovereignty. or
1942 - Statute of Westminster Adoption Act passed in Oz in 1942, mainly because of WWII sovereignty issues, or
1986 - Australia Act passed in Oz and then UK, to stop UK from passing any laws that would affect Australia. Think before this, the states could still appeal cases to Privy Council if they didn't like Supreme Court and High Court rulings.
When all those dual citizen politicians ended up in the High Court a few years ago, this was never raised as to when that change occurred re the UK seen as a foreign power, and how many politicians may have been in breach of section 44 pre 1931/1942/1986 or post 1986.
Who gives the minority groups voice? Who's driving these conversations? It's all propaganda to make us hate each other while the dollars created by the many flow into the hands of the few. You people on the right just scream and cry because Murdoch whispers the right words to you. It's honestly rather sad.I believe people not only in Australia but world wide have had a gut full about being forced to think a certain way on issues by minority groups.
The things that need to be addressed like housing and the rising cost of living is getting pushed aside by diversity dribble.
Maybe not in my lifetime but sometime in the future I can see a Pauline Hanson type being PM.
Before you laugh and say it’s nonsense remember America just voted in Trump.

This was the most unbelievable part of the day of the jackal remake: the techbro with a conscience. What? No!
Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, Rupert Murdoch, Marc Andreesen, Mark Zuckerberg, Gina Rinehart, Jeff Bezos and James Packer care about wealth inequality and the little guy!

The current crop of female players is pretty thin, and I don't mean in appearance.
Not that I am saying that they aren't thin appearance, what I mean was... ah I shouldn't have said anything.
