Former Roo players on other lists are:

Stuart Anderson - Box Hill

That's a long list, and apart from the North rookies or non-regulars, i only know a handful of PM players. Can anyone name a first XXII for Port Melbourne??

Are all very capable VFL players. Chris Obst was a former Hawthorn player and played a few seniors games for the Hawks. Obba also played in the Box Hill premiership in 2001. He will play the majority of the season of a HBF or in a Back Pocket. He's a favourite of mine, so good luck to the lad in his season.

Anstey impressed me last year in the times I saw him, as did Aloi. The majority of you should know Sofi, a running player of whom I have a question mark over his toughness.

Filandia is a well know tough nut (pun intended)

Just to clear up, Michael Rix is on that list. That is incorrect. He's a big, raw ruckman that had a good season last year in the VFL.
Rixy has signed up as a fully fledged Box Hill player and I believe his clearance was fought heavily by Port. In the end he's ready and raring to go as a Mustang. About time we got one back on you mongrels. Go Rixy.

Pony..........

Pony..........

LONGMIRE Lachlan

Is Horse's first cousin (their father's are brothers.)
Is about 18y.o. & played good footy for the Murray Bushrangers & Corowa Rutherglen (O&M league) last year.

You never know, he may follow a similar path to David Teague - Cor/Ruth to our reserves (then Murray Kangas) to rookie list, to senior list.

I remember reading somewhere that Teague spent a year with the cash-strapped Blues - not sure if it was on their rookie list or as a top up player for their reserves side though.

Bet you he is happy he doesn't have to go to the bank manager every second week to make sure he has been paid... Like poor old Corey and Pags have to...

Dunno' about that. He would've been pretty young. He's still 21 (22 next month) & I'm pretty sure he hasn't played for them in last 3 years (2002 on our list; 2001 rookie / promoted to senior list for Mark Ainley; 2000 played for Cor/Ruth). In 1999 he would've only been 17-18 yrs old & I think he payed for Murray Bushrangers then.

I think he played a few top up games for us in 2000 - but maybe he played some for Carlton that year or when he was playing for the Bushrangers???

Anyway, I'm glad we've got him now. I like the way he plays & he seems a good bloke as well !

Teague did play for the MK in 2000, the first season in the VFL that we had a side in it. Ross Smith was the coach, now coaching Aberfeldie in the Essendon District Football League

Yup. That one. We welcome his leadership at Box Hill. Worthy acquistion.

Just out of curiosity, did Stuey end up playing any games for Box Hill? I don't recall seeing him in any of the games, or reading his name in the paper's bests.

Yeah mate, Stuey played in probably at least 15 of our games, mostly off the bench. I recall he was dropped for a few games.

He probably only got about 10-15 possies per game at best, but his ability to score a goal was a worthy asset.

Also, his experience probably helped a relatively young squad.

saw stuart anderson on tv a couple of times playing for box hill. was it him that got traded to Fremantle for winnie which was a win for us has stuarty retired while at Fremantle and winnie played in the 1999 grand final and kicked a few goals as well.
