Sure do ,Do you ????

Then you're just a deluded twit.

It's one thing to deny that we are the original Port Adelaide est. 1870, but it's a completely new and uncharted level of stupidity to deny that we are officially called Port Adelaide!

Been thinking about this a bit.

Back in 1991 the Adelaide Crows were formed to represent the entire SANFL, including the PAFC.

So in essence from 1991 to 1996 we were kinda merged anyway. Then the Power broke out on their own (kinda as they are still an SANFL owned club), and have gone on to win 1 flag, whilst we have won 2.

Would anyone really miss the Crows? Let's get serious here, Port Adelaide Magpies is a true club but as they have been shafted by the SANFl, it is a great opportunity for it to redeem itself and reinstate Port Adelaide Magpies as the one and only real SA club and the AFL will finally get the original Magpies team in the AFL. Win/win/win.:thumbsu:

The AFL already have the original Magpies. Collingwood were the Magpies long before port were.

imagine that...the contrast of supporters coming together

the loud, passionate, drunk bogans and the quiet, boring, sunday picnic dwellers with no tradition sitting there compaling about the x port supporters standing on their seats and using inappropriate language and showing too much enthusiasm...

You guys started in 1892, we started wearing black and white in 1903. I'm not sure if 11 years qualifies as "long before" but if it does then Port Adelaide was around "double long before" Collingwood came into existence!

We also won 31 titles in 93 years in the black and white compared to Collingwood's 14 titles in 113 years, but that's a discussion for a different day! ;):thumbsu:

I'm willing to ignore the obvious stereotyping in order to imagine how freakin hilarious that would be! :thumbsu:

Excellent idea.

Port Adelaide and the Camry Crows could merge and play in black with a white and teal V. They should be nicknamed the Power and base themselves at Alberton. They could ignore the twenty mostly wasted years of the Camry Crows history and just call on Port's rich 140 year history.

As Choco is a premiership coach he could maintain the senior coaching position and as Mumbles Craig is an ex bicycle mechanic he can pump up the footballs. We'll take Porplyzia, Johncock, Vince, Thompson and even Dangerfield and then use the rest of the Camry Crows for draft trades.

Bigeasy for president of the South Australian Football Commission … and the sooner the better.

whilst i think you talk a lot of shit when it comes to the crows i genuinely LOL'd at the bold part :D

It just makes sense. Both clubs are going nowhere and if their performances keep tracking how they are then they will most likely both be extinct in a few years anyway, Port are practically gone now.

Adelaide have the resources and Port have the tradition so its a match made in heaven.:thumbsu:

There are so many positives for this not least would be the eradication of the Port vs Crows Bigfooty wankfest.

Make it happen Andy D.
You should have merged with Carlton that would ease the drain on the AFL

Don't they teach punctuation in SA?

There are plenty of threads about North so back on topic.

This suggestion has merit. Clearly Craig is struggling at this caper and is diminishing the Crows brand built by ex North champ, Malcolm Blight. Gees we even gave you Carey to give your profile and brand a boost so if anything the Crows should be bowing to North Melbourne. In 2010 the Crows are just a shadow of its former self and again needs a boost. What better than rebranding itself under one that has been around for 150 years..Port Adelaide!

It's really the only club those outside of South Australia know, it's not a franchise name and well you get the opportunity to rid yourself of the Crows nickname:eek:

Port Power also get the opportunity to rebrand itself under its preferred name and while Port don't have the resources, it does have the tradition and the brand.

You will fill out a 80,000 seat stadium.
A couple of points to correct:
1. Malcolm Blight is an ex-Woodville/SA champ who was loaned to you, enabling your struggling club to gain some much needed success and personality. That said, we all know that 75 was only orchestrated by corporate money from Ansett. Striking resemblence to the fortunes of North and Ansett isn't there....

2. Wayne Carey was gone by the time he got here. All that shagging of a team mates missus clearly did his back in and his knees were never the same after the carpet burns. We got a player at the end of his years which was a mistake, but you got a fractured, divided, bankrupt and soulless entity.

3. Port's 140 year celebrations were indicative of their respect for their own history.

4. This is a rare down year for our club and we will bounce back, whereas that same old stench will always hang around your club until you disappear for good.

Have a nice day now....:)
