Why is this obvious?
Seems more obvious that Port didn't really think things through.
To me it's obvious if it was agreed upon earlier this wouldnt be an issue now.

Worst one was "Get Adelaide to play Gold Coast instead"I do find the commentary on here about how the whole China business came about quite funny.
Watching posters write so much about who did what, with no inkling or idea about what has happened the last 3 years to get to this point.
Hint. Port Adelaide did not just "rock up".
How is that relevant to my post? Please enlighten me.Why would Port Adelaide be entitled to wear its home guernsey in an away match?

Kochie's main argument is that it was in the contract. If it can clearly be stated that it was or wasn't then this will be over. Personally sick of the (mostly) Essendon and Hawthorn fans who keep going "lol poort keep crying, kochie's a ****head, go gold coaste" etc. really to just get at the nerves of Port fans when we're making heaps of legroom for everyone else.Clearly you have done all the leg work totally agree, just should have made it part of the deal GC wear white its too late now.
They didn't do all the leg work, if they'd done all the leg work they would've had a home game. The whole thing has been half baked from port's end.Clearly you have done all the leg work totally agree, just should have made it part of the deal GC wear white its too late now.
Our contract says we can't move a home game. I'm sure we would if we could. They didn't do all the leg work, if they'd done all the leg work they would've had a home game. The whole thing has been half baked from port's end.

Well clearly it's working..............really to just get at the nerves of Port fans....

Not a shot just a genuine question: How hard do you think the PAFC tried? Our contract says we can't move a home game. I'm sure we would if we could.

Why didn't you say you couldn't answer the questionHow hard do you think the AFL has tried to get their product broadcast to the Chinese market every week?
The question you've asked is inversely proportional to the one I've asked.
If they can't move a home game then why try to organise it? GC seem to have done Port a massive solid by agreeing to this. Furthermore if they dont want to work with GC again what are they going to have to offer other clubs to move their home game for the advancement of Port?
We're contracted to play 7 at Etihad and 4 at the 'G. Maybe we should sign a deal to play a game in Mumbai. Another team can shift one of their games and we can complain about the colour of their jumper. Our contract says we can't move a home game. I'm sure we would if we could.
I thought the Demons tried this a few years back. I remember they put in a lot of work and made good progress but it didn't work out.All you campaigners who keep shit talking Port because we want to start a venture that no one has dared to try before
But this is a business deal. There are no freebies in business just because you want them. Port have done great work in the massive part they have played in making this happen, thats absolutely true. But the AFL have invested in this and so have Gold Coast. There is a chance that this disrupts our season in a variety of ways and its only possible because the AFL and GC came to the table with selling a home game. Unless there is a contract agreeing that GC will not wear their red and yellow strip, Port are not entitled to dictate what the opposition wears. Those are our colours, they matter to us. This is still a good deal for eveyone, Koch is being greedy.and want to have a couple of things our way, which we are definitely entitled to, mind you, I can only say, pull your heads in.
nah, Port and Kochie invented China didn't you know?I thought the Demons tried this a few years back. I remember they put in a lot of work and made good progress but it didn't work out.
You paid $500k to Gold Coast to move their home game. I'm sure if you instead paid that to the Adelaide Oval SMA, they would have let you move. Our contract says we can't move a home game. I'm sure we would if we could.
