Port v Freo

So you know my feelings better than I do? Stop being an arrogant flog. I don't rate freo at all, especially at our home turf. I'm fairly confident we will convincingly defeat anyone we come up against in week 1, I just want to put to rest the notion that freo are a threat after beating Geelong last year by resting their whole team and beating sydney by under 20 with 1/3rd of their squad out, and the mantra of "manic pressure" adopted by their deluded fans

Sorry, you weren't just beaten in that prelim. You were destroyed. Game was over at half time as you had scored 2 goals 2 points. And please stop the injury mistruths as you had your two best rucks (Mumford and Pyke) plus all of your current quality midfielders in the game, which was won and lost in the midfield (so no excuses there).

Yeah. Because anytime the losing team wins the last qrtr, it's because the winning team let them

No not always. But in many cases, yes. And in the case of last year's prelim, absolutely yes. As stated previously, game was over at half time and was dead and buried at 3/4 time. Freo's coaches and players spent the last quarter preparing for a grand final while your team tried to recover some of the scoreboard inequity.

Will be a ripper next week, can't wait!

Port have a good record at Subi, fell off over the last few years for obvious reasons.

Freo have struggled after six day breaks so it will be a battle, hopefully with not too many injuries.

They'll be competing for the chance to lose to Sydney in week 1. The real advantage will be a home final in week 2 compared to an away final

The qualifying finals have never been easy to predict and are always close games. No one would've predicted Freo to knock Geelong off at Simonds Stadium last year, and the same will be said about whoever plays Sydney in week 1 of the finals. Doesn't mean they can't be beaten though.

Going to be good. With Fyfe and Barlow missing, port should start slight favourites.

But we seem to be rubbing into form
Home Deck, you guys have depth & are rubbing yourselves back into form lol we take the underdog tag for this one :thumbsu:

Was hoping Freo wouldn't win by too much so the winner of next weeks game gets Top 4. It panned out that way. Hoping for a Port win because A) I think they are less of a threat and B) A derby elimination final would be great!!

I like Pt Adelaide - theve had their little down patch- now with that super impressive 100 point flogging of Carlton - with that fast attacking - play on at all costs style - well suited to Subiaco oval - no Fyffe and Munday - i think the Power are a massive chance to win

Who ever wins - i think are a decent chance to knock over Sydney in Sydney - Port lost to them by a goal at the SCG earlier in the year - in a high std game - this season has had alot of twists and turns - who knows in 2 weeks time the Power might be having a week off - with a home PF to come

If the Swans had any brains - and Street Smarts - theyd lose to Richmond - then they would get Geelong in a home QF - and you can pencil that in - as a certain win

Give Freo a slight chance...port no. However I give Port a chance of knocking off Freo.
