Question for the Tassie boys. Is the wind likely to strongly favour an end or go across the ground?
The ground runs north south.
The wind is south westerly and the western side of the ground is relatively sheltered by the members area.

Games are usually played down the eastern side of the ground but I suspect today's game to be different, which is no good for the majority of spectators.

The ground is looking great and last nights heavy rain should have little effect, as it drains very well these days

I really really want to win today. The total disrespect for Port Adelaide is back with many saying how great Norfs are for losing to some top teams and seriously this "Port are still Port" was some ex-footy player's reasoning for picking Norf.

I want this win more than any other so far this season.

We won't lose much by having this guy taking the reigns today. Massive fillip getting him to the club. :thumbsu:

I really like listening to Richo's analysis. He gives a bit more detail behind the planning than Kenny does without giving too much away.

Woke up this morning confident of a win. The eagles game was on AFL.tv first thing this morning and after watching that 30 minute pasting we handed out I'm even more confident. If we can come out with that confidence, tackling pressure and poise we could get a good, comfortable win.

Robbie Gray was the difference last week. He looks lively and his disposal was first class.

If he has a big game we win well.

Up the Power!!!!!

Every future premiership side has a game where it becomes a signal of intent - a shot across the bow of the competition that says 'We're not there yet, but watch out when we get there.' I believe this game could be the catalyst for us. And I say this game, and not Richmond next week, because against North, no one expects us to win. It's away from home, against a side that needs a win desperately in order to keep touch with the top eight and that has pushed better teams like Geelong and Hawthorn for an entire game.

So imagine what kind of message it will send the competition if we not only win, but obliterate these hapless hacks? The team has the talent to do it. They just need the application and the drive to win. If they don't do it, they aren't ready to take the next step, and we will have to wait for another pressure game (say against Geelong at AAMI) where we are expected to lose in order to announce our arrival. But it IS coming, and I'll be on board with the boys when it does.

WITH OUR TRADITION SO STRONG, WE CAN'T GO WRONG.

Stuff the Norf Melbourne flogs. Let's go 6-0 and give us an awesome shot at making the 8.

Get around the boys! WE ARE PORT ADELAIDE :hearts:

Quietly confident today. However we can't serve up the same trash as we did in the first half last week and expect to get away with it again.

I expect our midfield to break out on top in the 2nd half and help us to a 14pt win.

Also - I've never been banned from an opposition board, but if we win today, I'm giving those flogs both barrels. Because it will mean that in one year, we have eclipsed their vaunted (in there eyes at least) midfield. The tears will be epic and tasty.
