On a couple of these points -
Like you, I don't think anyone has bashed him as an individual. No different to Van Berlo in that sense, it's more what he does on the field that drives many of us mad given it's so little compared to guys that are constantly coming in of the side and sent straight back out shortly after. The double standard at this club has annoyed a number of us for quite some time and it seems people are finally starting to wake up to how little Mackay actually offers to our side. The bashing is over the top of course and it seems like the majority has finally tipped the other way and everyone is trying to compensate for previously defending him/having no stance. So I agree that it's petty at the moment, but the questions on his form/what he actually offers to the side are spot on.
On the second point, you can't defend Mackay for having a poor season this year given his previous two have been just as lackluster. Similar to Van Berlo again in a sense that some people still defend these guys performances week after week, year after year no matter how long it is they've been playing under what should be expected of them.
Again, the blame should go to the selection panel/coaches for continuing to select them and I think you'll find those that have been harping on about Van Berlo and Mackay being dropped are the same ones that have kicked up a fuss about the above since they know the problem is higher up.
But yeah, the bashing is getting boring, I just hope that if he remains at Adelaide he's no longer seen as a best 22 player as that bashing will die down a hell of a lot if that happens.
What I don't buy/understand about all this is the offer to Parker might have been real but how do we know he has any interest in it? If he did, why hasn't he and his manager come out and requested a trade to Adelaide? Of course he's contracted but that hasn't stopped a large number of other contracted players from doing the exact same thing. If he was serious about coming to Adelaide, then that surely would have happened.
So this to me means he's either undecided or not interested. If he re-signs with Sydney in December then it will be pretty clear that he was never interested if this offer actually existed.
I'd like to believe the offer existed given it would be the perfect player to target after the loss of Adelaide and a sign that we've done everything in our power to make up for the loss of Dangerfield.
He is employed by the club and has direct long standing relationship within the club
I think that is a stronger loop then what some others may have

Exactly. It is up to each of us as individuals to make up our minds whether we believe a post or not. No need to constantly argue with the poster. Sure, state once that you don't believe it but no need to go on and on. Let the rumours keep flowing I say!

I like guys like TMS. Obvious club link, no grandiose statements, just factual information. In my experience, people who look to garner adulation, make cryptic references to their identity or grandiose statements like "this will be my last post for a while as I am off travelling for work blah blah" are generally FOS.

If we get him it is on the rookie list.
We can't fit our picks 9/13 on our list without clearing a player or leaving Kelly or ROB on the rookie list for 1 more year so theres no way Talia fits.
If no one offers his a senior spot I wouldn't be surprised if we give him a rookie slot

If you don't want to read what people post, don't. Its that bloody simply. You can make the choice to just scroll past, read what has been written and laugh behind your own key board or ignore them.
Shouldn't need to ignore someone as we should be able to have a mature dicussion without the childish insults and underhanded negative comments towards someone, and YES!!!! everyoneis just as bad as everyoner else. If you have posted over 500 times within a reasonable amount of time - you are guilty. IMO the moderators should stick to the rules and remove all the bullying that goes on and remove any post that breaks the rules. However, this doesn't happen as personalities, friendships and reputations get in the way with many posters getting more leeway than others and that can influence those decisions. Fairness and equality towards everyone is needed. Black and white and remove all gray area.
If you don't believe the rumours, that's your prerogative but having page after page of big noting yourself by saying he/she is this, he/she is that is just a bad. That isn't any differebnt to the alleged trolling going on by saying a traded rumour. The bullying and group think that goes on in this forum is horrible. Anyone who has an alternative opinion gets bullied into changing their mind to the point where they are ridiculed and taunted by certain posters until they stop posting or join the idiocy towards the group think. It's horrible and happenes almost everyday.
Perfect example - I was discussing the Kerridge trade. My stance was, his value was between 25 and 30. I was bullied into shutting up about it as the 'group think' didn't rate him and bullied their way into thinking his vaue wa over 45. They make you change your mind and kept going a with childish retorts and immature bullshit. Why should we even report it when nothing in done?
Guess what happened? Kerridge was traded yesterday for 2nd year player drafted at pick 11. The market place spoke, his value was placed at about pick 25 to 30.
Yet, no one took any time to apologise or even admit they are wrong.
