You two clearly don't watch the games closely. Outside a reasonable first quarter, Smith was not good. At all.

Actually, his off the ball stuff today was deplorable.
I'll watch replay and reassess if needed.

But for me the take out this week was Moore was better, Maynard a beast, Dunn belongs, Greenwood owns sellwood and ofcourse Wells matters!

Pendlebury is something else!

Part of his job is to run hard into space and create a link between the back and front halves. He did that well. 24 kicks, 8 rebound 50s, used it well (88% DE). Was his best game for the year.

For the record I would have dropped him after the Saints game too & would have liked to see him earn his spot back in the VFL. But that wasn't the case (the 5 day break quirk was a part of that decision making) & he performed really well.
Was very good today.
Deserves his success which he's earned the hard way.
Was very good today.

Treloar was only fair.
He wasn't as prolific as he can be, but he put a lot of time into Dangerfield and Selwood around the stoppages. He and Levi were excellent I thought.

Grundy would have to be the AA Ruckman at the Moment.

Destroyed Smith and Blicvas Today
Agree he's AA for this part of year so far.

Howe a lock thus far.

I think Pendlebury nudging his way too, should be AA captain

I get the feeling you think he was very good today Saintly ;)

Played his role well.
I do, I do.
That was my take.

Here is a guy who came from the back blocks of QLD and is building a good AFL career.

If he plays well, he deserves the kudos regardless of Group think

If Wells can stay fit then he's going to be a very good player if his last 2 games are any guide.

He's a different player to Swan but he opens up the field and gets the ball moving forward with energy like him.

I'm not as big a fan of Varcoe as others but his first 2 1/2 quarters were his best for the club.

Sadly the hamstring is a problem again.

Our midfield was just superior to theirs.

I hate how everyone always assumes an injury when a guy has a quiet game lol, they can just play shit.

That's why I'm asking. Seeing as I can't read his mind, the next thing to do is eliminate variables. Is he injured? No. Was he tagged? No. Ok now I can safely come yo the conclusion that he had a shit game. As opposed to jumping to a conclusion.

Hope that clears it up for you.

Smith was good today, so likely keeps his spot.
Which will bemuse many posters.

I'd go others before him, but his efficiency looked good today in my view.
The way Smith plays reminds of the guy at a party who stops the music to tell everyone that the punch has been spiked.

Great end to the weekend.
Good to see Maynard go up a notch, if we can be close in W/L at mid way we could come home with a wet sail.

Pendles was amazing, Greenwood awesome, Wells all class and some solid contributions from Sidey, Crisp, Varcoe, WHE, Treloar and Adams

Need some games with the same team to gel so hope we get Reid and JDG back in soon.

This needs to be the yardstick for 2017.

Collingwood is a love hate thing that's for sure. But wouldn't be anything else.

Great win today. The boys cracked in all day with great intensity and attacking intent. Despite the difficult start to the season it is clear that the players are still united and behind the coach. Let's hope this is the start of the recovery. Go Pies!

I reckon he's right. First movement is always backwards and hasn't a defensive bone in his body.
However, at least his disposal was good.

Just a stop gap in my opinion as is Schade, who has no game awareness whatsoever.
I wonder if the posters criticing his ball movement were at the ground or watching on TV. You would only appreciate it at the ground but he set up plenty of attacking movements with good kicking to freed up players on the far side. His disposal today was excellent.

Hmm...

Like it or not high draft picks are pretty important for a team long term. Celebrate the win but I still think long term a low finish is best for us.

Such a defeatist (Melbourne/St.Kilda) attitude...........lets hope our Club doesn't feel the same........I would rather finish 9th.
