thoughts?/?
My theory is to pick players that will all go up in value..
there are four rounds before the Supercoach season starts so im thinking ray will hopefully go up maybe 60-100K and then i dont mind using a trade to get Ablett who surely cant go up anymore..
the same for skipworth or J Riewolt in order to get franklin or Nick Riewolt..
as for the rest of my midfeild i think Knights is ready to break out with solid preseason form and Foley will be the happiest man at tigerland that ben cousins is there..
what does everyone think?
My first year at S/C and I'm interested in your tactic as it's quite different from most others and I have done something similar. I don't have 946k left however as I've put most of the so called "up and coming" mids in. I've got Dalziel, Griffen, Tuck, Masten, Rich and Anthony all in my midfield and I've gone quite strong in my forwards and backs so I wont have to waste trades on them. It's risky but like you I'm hoping for a decent rise by round 4 with a least a small drop for Ablett and Franklin etc to enable me to trade well around rounds 4 and 5.
I guess what could catch me out is having never played before I don't know how fast prices move up and down and whether enough gains can be made in 4 or 5 rounds to make it all work.
I could be way off the mark, I don't know. Either way it's different from the mainstream and that makes it interesting.
Any comments?
