After this week's trades my team will be and should stay that way until upgrades begin:

B - Hodge, Goddard, Fisher, Newman, Chad, Houlihan, Cheney (Petrenko, Broughton)

M - Ablett, Judd, Bartel, Skipworth, Rich, Beams (Robinson, Anthony)

R - Cox, Hmac (Graham, Jacobs)

F - Buddy, Chapman, Lids, Fev, Higgins, Krakour, Brown (Walker, Hogan)

Need Hogan and Anthony to start playing or i could be short a cow or two.

thats a very good team

i would like some advice on my team................I am going to trade Wells or foley for beams this week- which one though? I am leaning towards dumping foley, because i see no room for improvent, he was close to BOG against WB, and only scored 88, bad effency, and Wells has been scoring 25 odd less points, but is in his WORSE form......when he hits his straps this year (no garuntees) he could score 100 a game..... thanks (BTW 16 trades left...Houli in team, S, STevens in team, L. ANthony in team)
THanks

Current team after 2 trades:

B: Newman, C. Cornes, Waite, Gilbee, Gilbert, Goddard, Petrenko (Suban, Collier)

C: Judd, Kerr, Dal Santo, Gibbs, Rich, Beams (Robinson, Anthony)

R: Cox, Mcintosh (Spencer, Jacobs)

F: Pavlich, N. Brown, Chapman, Giansiracusa, Krakouer, Higgins, Skipworth (M. Brown, Walker)

Most of my risky'ish (Kerr, Dal Santo, Gilbert) picks have come off so far, so in a decent position. Bloody wish I had Ablett though.

Hi,
i was wondering if any of you knew anything about the SC price system..... do previous rounds affect the price? for instance, say if player a has risen by 20k in the first three rounds, and then scores a breakeven (a's starting price + 20k divided by "magic number), would his price still increase? another example is say if player B's starting price (at the start of the year) was 100k, and he (after three rounds) is now 150 k, and then scores a breakeven for someone on 150 k, would his price still increase (aka momentum??) This applies to my team in the way that i am considering swapping chapman or goodwin for Harvey, but if momentum carries over, i will wait a few more rounds before snapping Harvey up.... Thanks
a lot
MIchael.
Buddy, I swear this is seriously like the 5th time I've read that one post, same with the other one I quoted above, just leave the posts in one thread and you will get replies, the more you repeat your posts the less inclined people will be to answer them.

Firstly I would get rid of Wells before its too late, Foley is another liability but to a less of an extent as he will post reasonable scores consistently, despite butchering the ball a fair bit.

Houli and S.Stevens aren't exactly ideal players in my books as I feel they do not have the capacity to become keepers, nor make enough money in your team to warrant them as an investment. They are also in that awkward price range were your not sure if its worth the trade or not. TBH I'm not sure why you picked them in the first place, but I guess your stuck with them for now or at least until you know if you have trades permitting to offload them. I've noticed you've used the maximum amount of trades (4) thus far, so I'm also not sure whether your going to have this luxury, so they may very well end up having to be keepers for you.

Good luck with your team, The 30 Spartans

BTW, I'm presuming your that Ralph guy from the SuperFooty Forum whom got banned by KB?

My team (if teams are named as usual and I can complete my trades):

Backs; Goddard, Drummond, Cornes, Adcock, Gilbert, Houlihan, Cheney (Petrenko, Broughton)

Midfield; Ablett, Judd, Dal'Santo, Selwood, Gibbs, Rich (Robinson, Beams)

Rucks; Cox, McIntosh (Jacobs, Spencer)

Forwards; Pavlich, Chapman, Deledio, Lovett, Higgins, Krackouer, Skipworth (Brown, Walker)

This is m current team Players in bold were not in my Lockout team

Backs: Goddard (capt), Gilbee, Drummond, Cornes, Ryder, Houlihan, Petrenko (Cheney, Broughton)
Mids: Bartel, Judd, Selwood, Gibbs, Tuck, Robinson (Beams, Jetta)
Rucks: Hille, Kruezer (Spencer, Jacobs)
Fwds: Pavlich, Franklin, Deledio, Goodwin, Hansen, Higgins, Walker (Henderson, Brown)

Needed to trade Anthony as Tuck was injured and Beams wasn't named so brought in Jetta, wishing i didnt :p
Cornes for Shaw this week.
Ryder for Raines last week and Hill for Cheney also

My team is scoring around 2000 the last 2 weeks and 2100 in the first but when i look at it i dont see why it cant score more on a consistant basis.

Thoughts?

Here's my original team.

Backs:
Goddard - Fisher - A.Walker - C.Cornes - Adcock - L.Hansen - Raines --- Petrenko and Suban

Mids: Judd (c) - Kornes - Boak - Gibbs - Coughlan - Rich --- Beams and Strauss

Rucks: Cox - Kreuzer --- Trengove and Lobbe

Forwards: Pavlich - Deledio - Brennan - Porplyzia - Lucas - Higgins - Ziebell --- Yarran and Ballantyne

Was pretty average once I look at it now. But I guess I would have traded Brenna, Coughlan and Walker out just before lockout (I hope).

What was I thinking? Lucas, Hansen, Yarran and Adock to an extent

Do more research: I really just went for the most expensive rookies in the Forwards and thank god I changed them. The mid rookies aren't the best either with Strauss not making a whisper around BigFooty.

No Ablett?
Just proves that I was once stupid myself. Adding Ablett was the best move I made along with Houlihan in for Raines

Bad move/Good move? Trading out Cornes to Drummond? Looking great now but copped a pasting fro mates once they heard. Hope he can keep it up.

Thank god for lockout jamming! Masten was as good as in on Thursday but with the jamming and early game I couldn't do it. Also was going to chuck anthony in their but was "forced" to keep Otten instead.

Round 4: Berger out. Wells is a dud. Franklin and Deledio aren't doing enough. Going to be a tougher week then last methinks with Jaocbs possibly starting for me against the Swans.

Gone with a "premium"backline setup ...

Backs - Goddard, Fisher, Hodge, Newman, Gilbee, Enright, Cornes (Broughton, Cheney).

Mids - Ablett, Judd, J Selwood, Rich, Otten, Beams (Robinson, Anthony).

Rucks - Cox, Hille (Jacobs, Spencer).

Forwards - Deledio, Harvey, Skipworth, Higgins, Krakouer, Walker, M Brown (Hentschell, W Thompson).

No trades used as yet.

Backs - Goddard, R Houlihan, C Cornes, Lockyer, Hodge, Rance, S Hill (Suban, Raines)

Mids - Judd, Adcock, Rich, R Shaw, J Selwood, N Foley (Robinson, Beams)

Rucks - McIntosh, Hille (Spencer, Currie)

Forwards - Pavlich, N Riewoldt, O Keefe, Fevola, Higgins, Skipworth, Ziebell (Garlett, Dick)

3 trades used so far scored 2250 last week

Thoughts ?????

Currently ranked 553rd with a score of 2410 last week.

This is the team:

Backs: B.Goddard - C.Cornes - C.Enright - L.Hodge - N.Malceski - S.Hill - A.Rance
(Emg: A.Raines - D.O'Keefe)

Mids: G.Ablett - C.Judd - D.Cross - S.Pendlebury - D.Kerr - D.Rich
(Emg: M.Robinson - J.Steven)

Rucks: D.Cox - J.White
(Emg: D.Currie - S.Jacobs)

Fwds: M.Richardson - S.Higgins - N.Krakouer - J.Brown - M.Pavlich - H.Skipworth - J.Ziebell
(Emg: T.Walker - H.Ballantyne)

Pumped with:
-Ablett: risk taking him because he was so expensive but very pleased.
-Higgins: guess we all knew he'd do okay, but outdone expectations.
-White: risk going for him as the second ruck but did well with a 100.

Disappointed with:
-Hodge: trump card in the backline hasn't lived up to his price.
-Pavlich: doesn't help that he's got the anchor hanging off him.
-Brown: would have liked a better return but he's been good.

My team of spuds

Backs - Fisher, Drummond, Gilbee, Chad, Gilbert, Houlihan, Hill EM(Petrenko, Dawson)

Mids - Ablett, Judd, Goodes, Bartel, Rich, Beams
EM( Robinson, Anthony)

Rucks - Hille, Meesen <--- Was Sandilands:mad:
EM(Jacobs, Spencer)

Forwards - Neon Leon, Roo, Buddy, J.Brown, Chappy, Higgins, Krakeour.
EM( Walker, Brown)

121K in the bank hoping to turn Hill into Hodge in a couple of weeks. Forwardline is pretty much done.

Backs: Goddard, Houlihan, C Cornes, Newman, Hurn, Petrenko, Hill (Dawson, P Burgoyne)
Midfielders: Ablett (c), Bartel, Judd (vc), Gibbs, Rich, Skipworth (Beams, Robinson)
Rucks: Cox, McIntosh (Currie, Spencer)
Forwards: Pavlich, Deledio, Chapman, Krakouer, Fevola, Walker (Ziebell, Brown)

Skipworth will probably turn into a rookie and Fevola (or even Deledio?) will turn into Riewoldt. Then a few weeks after Hurn will become a premium.

Curently ranked about 500th which im reasonably happy with at this stage

Backs: Goddard, Gilbee, CCornes, Houlihan, Malceski, Petrenko, Rance (Suban, Cheney)

Rucks: Cox, McCintosh (Jacobs, Spencer)
Forwards:pavlich, franklin, R O'Keefe, Delideo, Higgins, Krakour, Skipworth (M Brown, Thompson)

Obivously very happy with ablett, goddard, dal santo and higgins. Will be keeping higgins, houlihan, krakour, and rich for year after originally at start of year got as cash cows. Forward line premiums have let me down, all averaging around 80. Trading skipworth for riewoltd tomorow most likely so wont be touching forward line after that.

Trades left: 13
$ in bank $81,300

I have traded early to get some guys in before their proces soar...like Dal Santo. Also traded out some who had earned me money quickly like Skipworth, Haselby, Garlett. Forced to trade out Leuenberger also, but picked up Mcintosh so that worked well

I expect some good scores coming in

Ive seen some posters deciding to pick Ablett. I just feel he is way overpriced and will be really hard to maintain that value.

You could give up Ablett for another gun mid and free up 150k.

;):p

heres my team:

Ranked: 3,015
Avg: 2212
4 trades used with 74,000 in the bank (no more trades to be used for as long as possible while my cash cows mature!)

this is my first year so i'm pleased so far, these forums really helped me in avoiding some bad trades and getting a few decent rookies, so thanks, fingers crossed for no more injuries now so i can sit back and wait until some of those cash cows can become guns!

Similar to me as in we both have issues in our backline. Although you have Burgoyne to come back. I like your team where are you ranked?

Heres mine ranked 1338:

Goddard, Cornes, Fisher, Gilbert, Houlihan, Petrenko, Petterd (Cheney, Broughton)

Ablett, Judd, Bartel, Selwood, Hasleby, Rich (Otten, Anthony)

Cox, Hille (Jacobs, Browne)

Richardson, Pavlich, Franklin, Skipworth, Higgins, Krakouer, Tippett (Brown, Walker)

Upgrading Skipworth to Reiwoldt next week. Absolutely must get rid of Petterd what a spud. My backline is holding me back badly.

I have 14 trades left and do not want to touch my team, might only bring in a rookie for Thorp when I spot a good cash cow..
Currently ranked 1626th, made a huge mistake last week by dropping Ablett as captain and putting Luke Hodge captain  (I really thought he would dominate against Port) anyway this is my team, would be interested to see what you guys think and where I can make an improvement at a later stage..

B: Goddard, Drummond, Cornes, Newman, Hodge, Urquhart, Petrenko (rance, broughton)

C: Ablett, Judd, Rich, J Selwood, Dangerfield, T Tuck (Beams, Barham)

R: Cox, H McIntosh (Jacobs, SPencer)

F: Higgins, Chapman, Pavlich, Giansiracusa, Franklin, Deledio, Ziebell (M Brown, Thorp)
