Ok, I think I've finally finalised my team :D

I figured before I go too far and my brain explodes and I start from scratch (again) I'd throw it out to you guys for a quick squiz and then sit back and hope for the best.

Any "Don't do that!!!" or "Wow! What a magnificent DT specimen." :p or anything else you can think of would be greatly appreciated. I think I'm done (depending of course on team selections next week).

Make sure you are 100% certain on Carrots. Can get tagging roles which affect his scores somewhat.

Great midfield. Only qualm is Kerridge. Should be a great player but won't start in round 1 and if he does is more than likely going to cop the green vest.

Risky rucks but Hale looks a prospect that should pay off.

If you think Kerridge will come in sooner or later, Kennedy's DPP should help you out but I would want to be certain. Maybe check on the Adelaide board. I checked about 2 or 3 weeks ago and the general consensus was that he won't come in until injury and when he does he will be a sub, although they seem to think he will score decently even if he only plays a half or so (has definitely shown that in the nab)

I am undecided on which group will score more:
Goodes, L.Parker, Bugg
OR
Sidebottom, Coniglio, Golby

Any help is much appreciated :)

I hope i'm done!

Rucks
Mumford, Giles Stephenson, Redden

Forwards
Franklin, Chapman, Martin, Fyfe, Porplyzia, D. Smith, A. Kennedy Hall, Dickson

Zorko being a DPP got him on the bench. Would love to have put Luke Brown on my mid's bench also for his Defender status, but couldn't fit him in. Oh well. Clay Smith also very unlucky for now...

Comment...or don't...

Any thoughts......

Def: Deledio, Birchall, Broughton, Fisher, Howard, Clarke, Bugg..........Ellis, Spurr/Morris

Mids: Pendlebury, Boyd, Ablett, Parker, McCarthy, McDonald,,,,,,,,,,Kennedy, Magner

Rucks: Cox, Kreuzer...............Giles, Redden

Forwards: Franklin, Zaharakis, Martin, Sidebottom, Dangerfield, Hill, Smith.....Cameron, Hall

No Goddard.......a lot of people may frown upon.....

Unsure about McDonald and Shiel..........Shiel probably has the higher ceiling yeah? Parker and McCarthy.........hoping for high risk / high reward!

Giles not as R2........I don't think there's too many of us........

Hill and Dangerfield.........makes me a little anxious!

Pendlebury and Watson

OR

Thomas and Boyd

six of one, half a dozen of the other.
Personally, option 1 has more upside.

This is what I'm looking at atm:

DEF: B Goddard, B Deledio, G Broughton, D Heppell, M Golby, R Hargrave, M Clarke, T Bugg, S Morris

MID: M Boyd, G Ablett, J Selwood, J Watson, L Hayes, J Magner, A Kennedy, D Shiel

RUCK: H McIntosh, J Giles, J Redden, O Stephenson

FWD: L Franklin, A Goodes, N Fyfe, D Martin, P Dangerfield, D Smith, T Dickson, B Smedts, A Hall

Couldn't really figure out how to fit Ellis in.

I know a few others have already talked about this but why has everyone dropped Swan? I find it astonishing to be honest and I'm just interested if there is any logic behind it other than "he hasn't had the best pre season". I know others have talked about Pendlebury improving again this year and offering more value for money than Swan but wondering why people will believe that will happen?

Probably should have kept my mouth shut as I personally believe the more people that don't pick Swan the better, but I'm just too confused and am wondering if I've completely missed something?

Almost got my final team:

D: Goddard, Deledio, Birchall, Broughton, Hargrave, Ellis, Bugg (Smedts, Darley)

M: Swan, Pendlebury, Ablett, Rockliff, Coniglio, C.Smith (Pfeiffer, Magner)

R: McEvoy, Giles (Redden, Stephenson)

F: Franklin, Cloke, Fyfe, Martin, Sidebottom, D.Smith, Cameron (Kennedy, Hall)

Bold ones are the ones I'm cotemplating with someone else.

Birchall v Sucking
Smedts v ????
Kennedy v Couch

Thoughts guys? and opinions on the team as a whole would be nice. :thumbsu:
Really really like it mate. Looked over the last 5 or so pages of this thread recently and that is my favourite team. Very very solid in every department.

I don't have Dangerfield either so I like that non-selection. Great midfield! I expect Pendlebury and Swan to prove an excellent combination once again, I've seen very few teams featuring both of them so far too.

However, not having Shiel and picking Darley even though he hasn't been selected for round 1? They would probably be my only concerns regarding your team. The starting 22 is great though.

DEF: Goddard, Deledio, Birchall, Broughton, Hargrave, Golby, Ellis (Bugg, Morris)
MID: Pendlebury, Boyd, Ablett, Watson, Coniglio, Manger (C. Smith, Shiel)
RUC: Cox, Giles (Redden, Stephenson)
FWD: Franklin, Fyfe, Martin, Zaharakis, Porplyzia, Smith, Kennedy (Hall, Dickson)
CASH: $146,900

Was thinking of using to rest of the cash to upgrade a Forward rookie to a mid pricer that has better job security, but not convinced it is worth it.

Pretty much this team is locked in with only one or two rookies I'm not sure on

Hey guys... first go at a Dream Team side, so let me know what you think !

Backs

Goddard , Scotland, H Shaw , Deledio , M.Clarke , Mohr , Bugg ( Smedts, Wilkes )

Mids

Swan , Boyd, Pendles, Ablett, Dangerfield , Shiel , ( Clifton , K-Stevens )

Rucks

Cox, Giles, ( Stephanson Redden )

Forwards

Franklin , Goodes, Fyfe, Martin , D-Smith, Pfeiffer, Saad , ( Zorko , Sexton)

Cash left $24,600.

As I said, this is my first attempt...... but any advice would be appreciated! Cheers HH !

Only made my team in the last 48 hours or so - haven't had much time for tinkering.

Intentionally gone for a more unique team (rookies aside), as I've grown bored with the stock standard team minus one or two players.

DEF: Scotland, Deledio, Broughton, Bock, Waters, Lake, Ellis (Bugg, Morris)

MID: Ablett, Rockliff, Stanton, Hayes, Sheil, Magner (Hampton, Mcdonald)

RCK: Kreuzer, Giles, (Redden, Stephenson)

FWD: Franklin, Fyfe, Cloke, Martin, Gray, Dangerfield, Smith (Kennedy, Hall)

$61k remaining

Feeling quite bullish about my forward line in particular. If Martin, Gray and Dangerfield improve as expected, that's potentially 6 premiums right there.

A bit iffy about having all three of Lake, Bock and Waters in defence but I've got the money to upgrade Bock to a solid defender if need be.

Be brutally honest and suggest changes if you feel it can improve my side. Thanks :)

D: Goddard, Shaw, Deledio, Heppell, Stratton, P. Davis, Hunt (Ellis & Bugg)

M: Pendlebury, Ablett, Murphy, Dangerfield, Parker, Cunningham (Coniglio & Magner)

R: Goldstein, Kreuzer (Giles & Redden)

F: Franklin, Fyfe, Martin, Hurley, Butcher, D. Smith, Pfeiffer (Saad & Kennedy)

$10,200 remaining.

Only a few hours to go, so please suggest any changes you think I could/should make.

Thanks in advance and good luck.

I note quite a few people are picking rookie listed players like Spurr. Are they expecting them to be elevated for a LTI or is it just a punt on a cheaper player to save $?

Hi all

Would love your thoughts on this team:

DEF: Goddard, Deledio, Burgoyne, Lake, Clarke, Bower, Golby (B Ellis, Bugg)

MID: Pendles, Ablett, S Thompson, Watson, Lucas, D Smith, (Shiel, Magner)

RUCK:
Mumford, Kreuzer (Giles, Redden)

FWD: Franklin, Fyfe, Cloke, Martin, Dangerfield, Porps, A Kennedy (A Hall, Dickson)

Cash: 40k

Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Thanks JDWCE that's a big help :D

I'm already terrified about my ruck selection but I hope it's gonna pay off, since the money I saved not have a Cox in my team allowed me to get Robbie Gray in my forward line. Fingers crossed it's not instead the thing that kills me right out of the blocks.

I'd really love to throw Gaff in somewhere. I think he's going to rack up some possessions this year without getting sub'd but at that price he's just another risk I'm too scared to take lol

I've been worrying about Carrazzo for ages so after your nudge I finally just swapped him out for Birchall....I can't decide if I want to take the risk on Kerridge, so I think I will decide on him next week when the teams come out... thanks again twas much appreciated :p

I note quite a few people are picking rookie listed players like Spurr. Are they expecting them to be elevated for a LTI or is it just a punt on a cheaper player to save $?

It's a bit of a risk, with the partial lockout. But there have been a few rookies (Magner, Spurr etc) that have performed very, very well. Given their rookie list status, they are quite cheap.

People are putting them in at this stage hoping that they are this years Barlow.... If they aren't elevated, then watch for changes next week...

Ok this is my first attempt at my team.

Backs: B.Goddard, H.Shaw, B.Deledio, A.Mackie, R.Hargrave, B.Ellis, T.Bugg, Bench: L.Spurr, S.Darley
Mids: D.Swan, M.Boyd, G.Ablett, N.Dal Santo, A.Swallow, S.Coniglio Bench: D.Shiel, J.Magner
Rucks: S.Mumford, J.Giles, Bench: J.Redden, O.Stephenson
Forwards: L.Franklin, A.Goodes, N.Fyfe, D.Martin, D.Smith, D.Pfeiffer, A.Hall Bench: A.Kennedy, T.Dickson

I'm happy to hear anything you have to say. :thumbsu:
