Jessie White, International Man of Mystery.

How can someone so athletic, be so fundamentally awful on a football field?

Perhaps Dr Evil sucked out his mojo and we need to recover it.

Not being able to be at the game today has been so frustrating, especially with no live chat! Had little communication with my uncle so thanks for posting the goal kickers up. Heard we were dominated most of the day and it was hard for any player to really stand out, especially forwards seeing as we were beaten pretty comprehensively around the ground

Change that to 8.4.52 and you're spot on.

Thanks for the mentions and the conversation on Nick's , by the way, I appreciate it... :thumbsu:

Did Aish get a kick or two in the magoos?

A kick or two, yeah.

Actually, probably around the half dozen mark, by my estimation. He really didn't do all that much...

Managed to catch the last 3 quarters. Footscray were a lot bigger than us across the ground even in terms of their VFL listed players, which isn't surprising given more than a few are ex-AFL. A difficult game for anyone to stand out and dominate.

9. White - ok, did some nice things and some bad things. A difficult day for the backline, especially someone without a lot of experience there.

14. Aish - while I think there was some pre-thoughts to him playing ot was good to hear that he wanted to play the last half, so he could build his game time. Spent some time in the centre where he was good in the clearances and also provided a target across half forward.

On his kicking I think the issue is that he sometimes over kicks the ball when he tries to get extra distance. We seen this with a couple of his kicks around the corner into the 50 in the AFL match, and the same thing occurred in the 2s. The result is that low kick that hardly gets off the ground and falls short. The positive is that is he's more than capable of hitting a teammate on the chest 40m away with a neat kick when he takes his time. Might be a matter of working out what his limits are and playing within them.

27. Goodyear - one of the few to have a better game than last week, nice pace without being super fast. Looks a neat player. Was able to break away from opponents, took some strong marks, had a few shots on goal, including a nice crumb and got a fair bit of the footy.

34. Toovey - liked his game, took some important intercept marks and kicking was generally good. I can't remember him turning it over.

35. Sier - didn't have a heap of ball and while I didn't see anything that screamed he'll make it he got a couple of nice handballs away in the clearances and important hands to intercept the ball

39. Crocker - like Goodyear built on last week's game. I liked his attack on the footy and opponent. Strong and reminds me a bit of Medhurst.

41. Golds - Didn't notice him as much this week, but again clean when he got the footy.

43. Oxley - used as a sweeper across half back, good game and use of the footy.

46. Cox - was impressed with his performances stepping back after a few weeks in the seniors. Pre-dominantly played in the ruck, provided a target on the wing and intercepted a few down back. I liked that he took marks in packs.

47. Wyatt - Took some marks up forward and kicked a couple of goals, but lacked the presence to demand the ball as the main target. Still early, but there's enough to work with.

Of the VFL players:

11. Alessi - got involved a bit in the forward line, especially in the last quarter when he kicked a nice goal. Adds a point of difference and seems good around the contest.

31. Indovino - Tony Armstrong look-a-like, took a couple of nice marks as a target coming out of defence. Kicking sometimes left he down though.

57. Close - only played the second half, but was important in straightening us up in the last quarter where he would have taken 4 or 5 great grabs leading up to and just outside the forward 50

60. Kelly - good game this week, got involved around the ground and in the centre

66. Hinkley - a mid sized player who moves well around the ground and at times provided a target leading up to the forward 50.
