This guy makes a lot of good points.

Pratt should go as honourably as he can....doub't he will though.

It's a shame for Carlton supporters that Carltank's president is a man who brings down your club. His rep stinks now and he drags you through the trough as well.

Come on Demetrio - do your job with some consistency.

Alot of people on this board worry too much about Carlton...its good to see peoples concern for our club.
I think they know that we are just around the corner of being a force again...so maybe there is method in their madnesss to keep trying to bring us down.
Go Blues :)

Hey No need the worry but thanks for the concern we're quite happy the way Richard and co are running the club.

Wake up and smell the coffee. We are not concerned for your club sunshine, we are concerned about the game being brought into disrepute by Richard Pratt the man who fleeced Australians to the tune of $700 million dollars, and the inconsistencies of sanctions imposed by the AFL, in particular Andrew Demetriou.

When will you get this into your head? It's not that difficult to comprehend.

He has a SH!T load of money and so is getting away with blue murder.

Couldn't you have married this up with one of the 5 threads on Pratt. Obssessed much.

Give the guy a break, he did realise he made a mistake and that it already had been posted it (obviously didn't read the OP properly or as I suspected just wanted to have a go at him). Face the facts Pratt is a talking point atm, he did do something quite bad to say the least and ripped a lot of people off. Which mind you isn't very good if you didn't already know or don't understand properly.

How many more threads about Pratt & Carlton are going to be started by Richmond supporters? This has developed into such a major obsession for Richmond supporters that professional help may be needed. I don't remember the same sort of obsession occurring when Gary March was in trouble to do with the issue of a prospectus.

I can only assume this obsession has gained momentum due to the false hope created by Greg Miller & Kevin Bartlett during trade week. These 2 individuals set the Richmond Football Club & its supporters up for a big fall, due to their irrational ramblings about Chris Judd.

Do tell how this has impacted on the game of Australian Football & more generally the AFL. I can't see attendances falling away next season due to this. I doubt very much that it will impact on the value of the next broadcast rights to be negotiated after the 2011 season. In fact it will have been well & truly forgotten by then. It won't affect participation rates in Australian Football. It certainly will not have any impact on the AFL brand, as it has nothing to do with the AFL, its brand, its competition or the teams involved. It will have no impact on the outcome of any games next season & has had no impact on the result of games since the price-fixing first commenced in 2001.

The price-fixing has brought Richard Pratt & Visy into disrepute, no argument there & he & Visy have been dealt with by the appropriate authorites. In his role as president of the Carlton Football Club, Richard Pratt has broken no laws, he has not become the subject of a police investigation/sting. He will be facing no civil or criminal charges arising out of his presidency of the Carlton Football Club. So where is the impact on the AFL? It is totally different to the actions of a player who is employed by an AFL club & a registered AFL player, who has continued to bring negative media coverage to the game while employed by an AFL club & being a registered AFL player.

FWIW, I am far more aggrieved about the prospect of paying up to $1.50 per litre for petrol than a few cents extra for a box of cereal. BTW, wasn't a certain football club once sponsored by one of these oil companies who consistently exploit the average Australian motorist?

Of course, yet people are still overly concerned about the actions of a person that don't effect them at all, and are on a moral crusade to destroy him when it should be obvious that all he needs is help.

Pratt's is clearly the bigger crime, there is no doubt about that, but the charge is bringing the game into disrepute- basically, whatever the AFL wants it to be, and a player is a lot easier to take down than someone like Dick Pratt. And it is unlikely that most AFL people care about him, while the actions of COusins have been much more public and discussed, apparently "damaging the AFL brand", despite the record crowds and profits that Dimetriou keeps pointing out.

There is no doubt Ben needs help, but unfortunately his most recent effort in the U.S. points to him not wanting to be helped. There is only one person who can help Ben Cousins & that is Ben Cousins.

I have come to the conclusion (yes I have) that I don't care what Pratt did it didn't affect me so I simply don't care 9oh how unmoral of me). Fcuk the off season and some of its stupid threads (not all as some are ok), cant wait until footy starts.

Who else is with me??

Well well well, Fast_Eddy (your ex-girlfriend gave you the name, right?) Do you really understand what's being discussed or did you just jump in to lay an insult? I've checked out your history of one-liner posts, and you appear to be a self-confessed wan ker (quote:"masterbate like a girl") Pathetic.
Freo has a new thread "Whaddya reckon Pav is whispering in Hunter's ear?" Now there's something just for you genius, so off you go, knock yourself out!

Richmond fans should worry about their own club instead of talking about Pratt, Tanking, and Carlton.

We have heard it all before...and frankly Carlton fans couldn't care less anymore as its been run threw the mill on blogs and media...everyclub has had somebody that has done something wrong, who other fans have bagged...but its all such old news.

Come up with something new or move on!!!

Footnote: If Pratt has brought down the great game...then why is the AFL done nothing??? Maybe because they are aware that the Pratt issue is a business issue away from football.

Easy big guy. I do understand. All I was trying to get across was that he could have used one of the other threads rather than create another. The OP had just given a view on another thread (Cousins V Pratt - Disrepute).

I agree that it's a talking point and I'm all for it however I reckon that there is other threads without starting another.

And YES I'm with you, I much prefer the off season to stop and the real stuff begin.

I can see that. Just finished reading some of your finest stuff from last light regarding Fwd or Back. MMmmmm seemed to be a little tired and disorientated.:D Keep up the good work.

Dont post on here when you have drunk a little, though I owe a lot to spell check otherwise no one would really understand my posts. I still think I did alright to make some sort of sense :D

The Coffee smells great thanks for asking. Your concerned Pratt has bought the game into disrepute? lmfao what position does he play? Its very easy to comprehend that you Richmond supporters wont get over us getting Judd and the #1 draft pick.
Hooroo

What is the difference between Pratt and Cousins well firstly Pratt is not an employee of the AFL unlike cousins, he is an unpaid chairman of Carltons board. The AFL can't punish someone who they do not employ, Pratt has brought whatever he does into disrepute cardboard business or something like that.
