I’d guess 1yr in the system makes them 1st year players. That’s the only thing I got.

Otherwise why not say 2nd yr to 4th yr players. It’s always reported as 1st - 4th

Yeah it’s all pretty confusing and just semantics not trying to argue or anything just just weird how it’s all reported and crosses over

The fact that the pre season slits over the calendar year only makes it a little more iffy to properly define

Benny Griffiths must of been livid leaving AFL before they put in the current kick out rules. With one kick we would have the ball at centre wing with his racking boot.

The should let Balta take the kick outs with much the same effect. But we'd rather kick it short to Short hard up against the boundary line.

No it's Short who always kicks to whoever is standing 20 feet away in the right bank pocket.

I don't think I've seen him kick it to the other side of the ground more than a handful of times for the entire season.

Wasn’t really anywhere else to kick it to. As the season wore on it was obvious we had no one to make a contest. The only choice was to try to chain it around the boundary and hope.
