Castagna was far more than a pressure forward, when he was allowed to play his natural game he was attacking and a good mark. In 2017-19 he averaged 27 goals. In 2018 he took the most marks inside 50 after Jack.

Mansell kicked 21 goals last season which was pretty good in our awful forward line. He kicked 10 points only, so his kicking was far from awful. He actually delivered the ball very well into the forward line when playing high up the ground.

Pressure forwards have one position, the VFL, because that position only existed in Dimma's sides late in his tenure. Mansell is a far better player up the ground where he can use his running game, aggression and generally pretty good and long kicking to advantage. His kicking has improved 100%.
Morphing into a Lambert?

Mansell is a shocking kick. Has lost us games with his goal kicking

Love his aggressiveness if he’s going to play a role for us it needs to be a small pressure forward like a castagna
If we play Brown and Banks down back then we need a shutdown small defender and really only Mansell and Smith seem to be available. As far as kicking, as long as he can reliably get it to Brown or Banks or Short then that is enough. Banks should definitely be half back or half forward. He’s quick but doesn’t seem to be able to exploit his pace when playing on the wing.

Backyard blitz leaves Brad Ottens stuck

A bit of backyard DIY went horribly wrong for the Richmond ruck-forward after the 2002 season. The No.2 draft pick from 1997 fell from a tree while trying to hang an outdoor swinging chair and landed on what he described as "a broomstick-sized" garden stake, which got stuck in his thigh. Ottens spent two days in hospital having the wound treated but was back to full fitness by early December. However, his 2003 season was derailed by back surgery just before the opening round, wiping out the first half of his campaign.

I haven’t read the article and not sure if this is mentioned but didn’t Mark Coughlan do his ACL slipping in the shower?

So become worse at kicking or just completely unable to execute a handball?

Castagna had all the tools except absolutely no skill. He would’ve been a 40+ goal a season small forward if he had any skill.
