So Off topic but when can we start the Draft and Trade 2015 thread?

We have 32,675 posts and 1308 pages to get through to beat the mega thread?

Think it should open Jan 1
technically, it should open the day after the rookie draft IMO....Let's get going!!

Huge improvement! What do you think his ideal size/weight will end up being?
Dont think he needs to build up. Hes never going to be a crash n bash mid. Im happy to see him lean & super fit running around like a rabbit around the 50 mt arc .
He showed some promising signs last season so its pretty exciting to see him look a lot fitter. Hopefully another handy mid rotation as well:thumbsu:

Being strong and short can be pretty deadly since your centre of gravity is lower and it's harder to get knocked over, look at running backs in the NFL - most good ones are under 6ft.

Good to see him boxing too as it means his arm must be fully healed with no niggling issues.

Great to see Markworth leading the uphill repeat sprints.
Another worth noting was Seb Ross driving himself hard in uphill sprints alongside Armo I think.

Yeah I noticed they've started putting up videos on both the site and youtube. Long overdue that one. Slowly but surely getting out of the Stone Age and utilising technology. :thumbsu:

St Kilda training in New Zealand, Patrick McCartin gets laughs after slipping over

The morning training session ended with a light-hearted contested marking drill. The players paired off, then took turns to contest high kicks from coaches. Each player who took a contested mark progressed to the next round, later in the week, while his beaten opponent was eliminated.

No.21 draft pick Hugh Goddard copped a bloodied nose in one of his several bouts with ruckman Bill Longer, who eventually progressed with an overhead grab.

There was much mirth when No.1 pick Paddy McCartin, slipped and was eliminated at the first kick by smaller midfielder Seb Ross.

Several of his teammates jokingly called out “Bainsy’’ to onlooking St Kilda list manager Ameet Bains, who oversaw McCartin’s drafting with the No.1 pick.

And that is why we should have taken Petracca

Do we know for sure which players are and aren't in New Zealand?

I take it Rooey and the new rookies aren't, anyone else?

The rookies are. Except Saad of course.

Article shows picture of Montagna, McCartin & Payne contesting in the marking drill.

It was written the other day that the whole list was there except Rooey, Savage wife is also about to give birth and Saad isn't allowed with the squad until Jan 1
