means they are busy training thier Teams up for next year. ppl will see it as being gagged as they just want to spend the entire off season slamming the Coach & quiet frankly i am over it! it's on every ****** thread!
anything anyone says is just talk & a throw away line at this time of year anyway.
Now now it's clearly a joke

Does anyone know if Balme would have any say into the game style and or game plan? Or this strictly out of his scope of work?

Watching some of the replays in the last few weeks was extraordinary and excruciating at how poor we were.

We might not make finals but I am confident that the shit we sat through this year will be minimised next year.... Here's hoping anyway
I reckon he d be challenging the coaching group to come up with a contemporary game plan that can win games of footy. Caracalla has a track record in the tactical side of things in particular ball movement . I expect he will play a significant role going forward

Lids has been holding us back for years.
It was over due to trade him out!!!
I still cant beleive we got the 1st pick in next years draft for a 30 year old broken down dud.

Richmond forward line coach Justin Leppitsch told RSN on Monday morning the club's boosted on-ball division would allow Martin to spend more time in attack.

"That's the plan. The depth of midfield we have that can play forward, with all of those players – Caddy, Prestia, Martin and (Trent) Cotchin – that's going to be our strength this year," Leppitsch said.

Highly unlikely ... we play both Geelong and North. Expect the Scott boys to continue their dominance over Dimma.
Something like a combined 15-1 against Hardwick and no need to ask about the 1.

Trolls on this board got me benched for calling them out.

Been fighting them all year.

Never let them win.

Put them on ignore.
fight fire with fire, call them out & let the mods take care of it, if i get benched instead & can't read thier dribble then so be it. may not be a bad thing really.
the way i look at it, if they want to bench me for calling out trolls who derail threads etc then perhaps it's a sign that forums aren't for me.

Concs is going to be fit and playing footy in 2017??

Great thing to know. I go into each season expecting him to be fit, then enduring his injuries, then watching him come back not quite right. Would be a nice novelty for him to play fit for a season.

What are peoples thoughts on martin going back forward? Hes our only other danger besides roo up forward.

But we need to keep the midfield strong and balanced. Think he should still predominantly play midfield with bursts forward and an aim to get at least 20 goals from him.

Cotchin caddy are the others who we should challenge to get at least 20 each from too.

Personally I would like to see him spend atleast 30%, ideally 40% of his time on the ground spent inside fwd 50 where he can really turn a game on its head.

If Caddy and Prestia arent good enough to allow this, then they are not half the footballers I think they are.
Cotch should also spend 30% forward now aswell.

Dusty isn't a great marking option, so I agree, others will have to rotate as well, but I love that the RFC have recognized this as required move to make our forward line more potent.

One intangible it does do, other than make us more potent up forward, it hides somewhat his defensive deficiencies.

It is great to hear Leppa say that they are concentrating on fixing a lot of tackling issues. I read that they corralled to much and didn't pressure enough. That change alone will make a huge difference to where and when we get turnovers (earlier) - and so have a massive impact on a direct game style. (That's my read anyway) Ie. earlier turnovers mean less time for the opposition to react - more chance to go down the middle as we are not squeezed to the boundary line.

1 question for your all: Of our 5 or 6 elite players - how many of them are good defenders? Maybe 2 - Rance and Prestia???
