We do every time anyway apart from when the cue was in the rack in 2023 when the minor premiership was sown up. Didn't they get excited that night! If only they knew what would happen 2 months later.

I'm reticent to do this because the old "Stats can prove anything" malarkey... but compare his 2024 to Beau. For example (I'm time poor today).
More marks, better DE, fewer clangers, more goals. Half as many games and even less TOG. But no, he's not the tackling/pressure beast that McCreery is.
It's well known that Fly hates Reef's guts. Not having an go at you here - but this is why we can’t rely on stats.
McCreery, so far in his four year career, has proven to be a noticeably better footballer than Reef (I’d say ‘vastly’ better but can’t be stuffed getting into arguments on here). As evidenced by the fact that Beau has hardly missed a game since his debut early in 2021, and was an important member of the premiership team. While Reef has struggled for selection and may have been close to delisting a couple of months ago.
Beau can play footy. Consistently and well. While Reef looks like he should be able to play footy, but…
Sometimes on BigFooty, the thinking drifts into conspiracy theory territory - again this is not aimed at you - where it’s somehow the coaches’ fault for a player not thriving. They may even be deliberately holding him back! He spends too much time on the bench, he’s played out of position, his development has been poor, he’s playing injured etc etc.
We all want Reef to make it and a role in defence may save him. I’m still not convinced, but the coaches are working on it.
Yeah like I said the stats were only as reference to address the "He hasn't fired a shot" comment from earlier. I completely understand that in other aspects that comparing Reef to Beau is Apples and Oranges. Not having an go at you here - but this is why we can’t rely on stats...
I don't like Jacbos's chances.What I want for Christmas is.....
3 or 4 of the below players to bang the door down and by the end of the season take the places of Howe, Sidey, Titch, WHE, Cox etc
Allan, TJ, Jacbos, HDM, Reef, Parker, Steen, Dean, Smit, Harrison
I love the senior players listed above, however if we are to have a bright future, we need youth to push these club legends out of the team. They won't all make it, I'd settle for 3 or 4 for this season.

Reef was offered a contract extension and hasn't been 'demoted' to rookie and then picked up again so clearly there's a lot of internal optimism about his role.
My guess is it's simply an oversupply of some roles, other needs that have surfaced and the demands of the coaching team that players need to be more utility than specialist.
It's be nice - but Tom Green's second season was very good.Would love ed allan to become our version of tom green.
Green really took off in 2022, which was his 3rd season .
For me, allan has to be in the starting rotation and be ahead of tom mitchell when he is healthy.
And you're a poopy head. It's well known that Fly hates Reef's guts.
I’ve put it all on the line and backed him in this year (to at least show why he was drafted)Ryan will surprise a few.

Inside mid is allan's best position. If I am not mistaken that was what his position was in his draft year.Tom Greene is all contest.
Allan is not really that is he?
He certainly ain’t a wingmanInside mid is allan's best position. If I am not mistaken that was what his position was in his draft year.
You're mate was told to slim down, or Isaac was..?A mate saw IQ today and mentioned a few things.
Was told to slim down and lose size so he’s been on a diet.
Allan will be a star.
Reef could break into round 1/ opening round
Ryan will surprise a few. Smit too

^ and further, who told whom to slim down? You're mate was told to slim down, or Isaac was..?
I thought it was pretty obvious. In his exit meeting, fly and the the fitness staff told IQ it was his main objective in the off season. He had to lose some size and trim down so he could run. Lost all his athleticism, was clearly too big last season.^ and further, who told whom to slim down?

My mate saw him at Lovabowl, had been waiting to see if he would come in, but because the diet IQ has been on, thats why he hadn't been eating Acai lately.
Yeah, i had one early this year. The Lovabowl place that Ginni and IQ's mate works at (owns?) is near me, down in fitzroy/clifton hill. This Acai bowls are packed with sugar and calories. They're delicious though!

I thought the consensus was he'd put on too much muscle. Not fat. And also had a toe injury. But anyway, good to see he's feeling fitter.Yeah, i had one early this year. The Lovabowl place that Ginni and IQ's mate works at (owns?) is near me, down in fitzroy/clifton hill.
Explains why IQ said he has been taking a break from it, being on a diet.
I should go back at some point.
Maybe its a bit of both and he said he was on a diet to trim down and lose some size.I thought the consensus was he'd put on too much muscle. Not fat. And also had a toe injury. But anyway, good to see he's feeling fitter.
