Be in a Luke Sayers photo?Q: What can a JellyBean do that you can’t?
Be in a Luke Sayers photo?
Me too!Way more of a PG response that what i was thinking
Noble was more vulnerable in 1-on-1 situations. Markov’s height and strength was an advantage in able to better contest. Can’t agree re Noble - a fit and firing Markov had pace and more compared to Noble as evidenced by his inclusion in the GF.
How close is De Goey to full training? Another poor preseason is quite bad news
He’s basically there. Without knowing the exact extent of what was going on last year I think it’s safe to assume it was a lot worse than we were lead to believe. His program for 2025 would have been mapped out probably to the hr when he was in Doha and there’s been nothing to indicate that he’s gone off course at any point (the progressions are obvious). His pre-season to me at least has built impeccably and your statement on the quality has no basis in fact. How close is De Goey to full training? Another poor preseason is quite bad news
The bolded was the difference. Like you I think Noble is the better overall footballer, but the recruitments of Perryman and Houston highlighted a belief we needed to upgrade that role. Markov and Noble can both be extremely valuable in our pursuit of 17 in 2025 still (even if it isn’t in a traditional on field capacity). Markov brings a lot of cultural intangibles and without Noble departing we don’t have Houston.Noble was more vulnerable in 1-on-1 situations. Selectors got it right in my opinion for the overall balance/role at that time.
Having said that, I think Noble is by far the better player. More consistent, more games, rarely dropped.
I’ll miss him.

if pace is the critical criterion, then Markov will be preferred over Parker. The addition of Houston and Perryman will make it hard for Markov to get a game. I also think Parker is probably rated higher than Markov internally. Very handy back up though
and Caolan Mooney would still be on the list.if pace is the critical criterion, then Markov will be preferred over Parker.
Not just aerial. Late that season we lost to Brisbane when Moore was out. They were getting soft drops at the top of the goal square and killed us front and centre. Noble wasn't covering off his man properly. The bolded was the difference. I think you've underestimated Parker's pace.if pace is the critical criterion, then Markov will be preferred over Parker.
Herald Sun reporting it was a calf issue but Swoop Luke is saying it's come back clear. Not sure how reliable his inside word is.Did anyone catch what happened for JDG to leave the track? I only saw the aftermath which looked like a knock to the leg, but what are the odds with my post above
