"We were one game off the Grand Final and watching that game, that desire still burns really brightly to go one better next year," he said.

Wouldn't going one better see them lose the grand final?

I suppose he did start watching Geelong in the very early 90s...:D

rubbish, he won the brownlow so his goal for the season is complete. he's just pretending to be disappointed to keep up appearances

I tend to agree with you here. We get to finals and crumble under the pressure. We're just not hard enough or discipline enough and Scott tolerates it.

I'm surprised by your position. By rights the cats should have been in a rebuild position by now but have continued great form since the mid naughties.

Sure Scott is a unique fella but the cats have continued their amazing run.

one of the players involved in one of the two losing prelim sides is hoping he will win instead of lose that game next season. boy am i glad by herald sun subscription fed me that brainbuster. every day i learn more about this great game and my knowledge deepens. i am glad i have so much to pass onto my grandchildren

Danger is actually a pretty decent human being. I'm sure he'd want us to win a GF providing it wasn't against Geelong.
Yea but he changed clubs so that makes him a **** sucker.

Seriously, I've always wished nothing but the best for Ablett Jnr...

Article on the AFL website where Patrick Dangerfield explains the lingering pain of the preliminary final exit to Sydney, and how it will drive him to become even better next year than he was this year.

Geelong won't be anywhere near the 8 next year

1 man team who just lost a few key players and Caddy. 14th for mine and they're 1 Danger injury away bottom 2.
