all the umpire/riewoldt hating is starting to piss me off.

the dogs were amazing tonight, and we were able to hold them off and triumph. It wasn't pretty, and the last 10 minutes were ridiculously tense.

I thought we had it 10 mins into the 3rd quarter when we kicked a couple of goals and started running freely. But credit to the dogs, they reined us back in.

I actually cried for a few seconds when the final siren went. And I never cry, not even at family funerals =/

Go saints. Nick Riewoldt you are a superstar

Dear lord what a game. Still in a little bit of shock, and my voice is going from all the screaming. The Dogs were damned good, and given that not all of our guys played to their fullest potential the win bodes well for next week (well, providing those lads can pull their socks up of course...)

Neither the Cats or the Woods play the kind of game the Dogs did last night, at least not very well, which gives me hope. They just don't have the speed to keep it up for 4 quarters.

What the hell am I gonna do for the rest of this week? The game's just started on Foxtel, so that's the next 3 hours covered, but so long to go. Argh.

I was literally almost sick during the last quarter was so so nervous. Was a complete wreck, having shades of 04 and stuggled to handle it. So glad we won.

I also shed a small tear when we won. It just means so much to be in the big one to so many people. And I don't cry much either (last time I cried was this time last year, for different but still footy related reasons obvs)

Also Lenny Hayes. What the ****, the man is a freak. I actually think he is probably at least as good as Riewoldt. 13 possessions in the last quarter, that freak goal. Amazing. Riewoldt with half our score playing on 3 blokes at once not far behind. Cometti is right, bump him all you want Lake you **** he's only gonna play better.

They had that glint in their eyes that we lacked BUT if we won that one when to my mind we were outplayed then it means that we are winners, something we've never been. Gives me lots of hope for next week, when the Cats will be breathing fire after donating the flag to the Hawks last year. (I know, they haven't beaten the Pies yet, but seriously...)
Oh yeah, and we have Rooey and Lenny as well.

Arrived home (adelaide) still pumped tonight. Looked at my visa card balance and it appears we have secured 3 Premium Seats for next Saturdays GF.
We sat near the dogs interchange and booed and tried to payout all the doggies players that walked past us. We got a bit of a reaction from Griffen cos my son used to play against him in juniors and knew his old nickname. Most of the doggie ppl around us were pretty good although there was a bit of infighting with them, which was funny. On the way out we were walking over the bridge near the big ferris wheel. My wife, 22 yo son and me just talking when these 3 old bags dressed in dogs gear walked past us and started slagging off on us calling us scum and hope you get thrashed next week etc. We laughed at them and said oh thanks at least we will be there, what you going to do? They were sooo rude we were really taken aback. Lost a bit of "love and respect" for the bullies after that. I spose it takes all kinds but from 3 50ish year olds? Oh well we won they lost and WE are there next wekk WOO HOOOO

How is that arrogance? Do you honestly think we were playing our best football in the first quarter? We've been slow off the blocks for the past 5 weeks and this week was no different.
