Why though? We travel so much, other teams should travel more in preseason. It could be a vic team coming over instead well.

Both SA teams get another free hit with Gather round two years in a row which probably wasn't on the cards when said deal was struck.

Plus we need to go to the least desirable city in Australia

Just logistics. Part of the point of the Community round or whatever they call it is to take top level footy to smaller community grounds.

There's only 2 teams here so if we play each other once then to play another team either we have to go somewhere or someone come here. Since we're closest to Adelaide we seem to play Port. Last year they came here, our turn to go there.

In Vic with all the teams they have its easy to schedule a fixture where all the teams get a couple of hitouts on the old VFL grounds or wherever without having to go interstate.

There's only one of the two preseason games being played as a "community round". Absolutely no reason why a Vic team can't travel for the other game (though I am not even sure community round is an excuse)

I like to position the club with the work ethic “ anywhere any time, bring it on”

So Adelaide in pre season, where we rotate players and work on things is fine..let’s not get too carried away with minor issues, it’s a learning experience and I hope we take the whole squad… except the under done and the lame!

Freo travel an order of magnitude more km than the league except one other team. It's not "our turn", the rest of them are going to be doing the dishes for the rest of time to catch up.

This argument only works if there is a turn for us to spend 17 weeks playing in Perth during the season.

Not travelling during preseason was sold as the soft touch fix up for the huge imbalance in travel.

Unfortunately saw Josh Treacy come off after a whack in the mouth, might be having soup for dinner.
I was impressed with Max Beattie on Monday and still feel same after seeing him today.
Luke Ryan was boxing in the gym. Lots of bonding going on. A lot of players looking good inc Fyfe and Walters. First time seeing Sharp and he does look quick. Good news with Darcy signing on and makes it look positive for next year.

Not a lot said about Beattie. For mine he is most important train on player to add to our small forward options. I like what I’ve seen as well. Thanks for your input.
