I was disappointed that one of the Demons podcasts (already forget the name of which one) seemed to be less sure about a round one debut for Kozzy.
Pretty exciting that they think Jackson may be ready though.
If it helps, picking a Round1 22 is always a bit of a pointless exercise until after the preseason matches anyway. You can almost guarantee someone who wasn't expected to feature in Round 1 will pop up with an eye catching performance and change things.

yeah I was wondering the same. I'm heading along tonight too. I happen to fly to Melbourne this afternoon and arranged to meet up with a friend for the game.
I tend to think that Pickett plays as we have no one like him and we need that type of player. Apparently been good at training to.

2PM miles from anywhere makes it a challenge
but from our side I anticipate a low key event, given we have a preseason match directly following? You would think it will be largely vfl guys in this scenario? Might be an opportunity to get a few guys out with injury but coming back to have some limited game time though

I’m expecting us to name serious squads and try to win our preseason games this year.
If we have a more formal game shortly after, then yes maybe we’ll use Friday to get a run into the younger set who aren’t likely to feature early for us.

We’re playing the crows in SA the following day, so we might not be committing a do or die team to the scratch match on the Friday. I suspect it will feature a big VFL compliment plus some limited time for some managed guys plus whatever is left who mightn’t get a run in the official pre season matches.
On time i will do them.
