Fwds haven't had a chance, mids have been spanked and when they do kick it fwd it's to noone

Clearances still the massive issue.

Poor skills by both sides, maybe it’s the pressure maybe it’s just early season.

Our backline looks good with our key backs in there. Hopefully we can get a large chunk of the season out of Gov and TB.
Forward line whilst the delivery was poor were beaten nearly as badly as our midfield.

We’ve had much worse quarters.

Likes: Gov, TB, Rawlinson (wouldn’t be surprised if he plays round 1), Jamo, Harley.

Dislikes: Ruck + Mids contested work (again… broken record), TK pretty average, Cole not great.

Saved by our twin towers down back.

Contest working looking junk. Not even a defensive set up as pointed out by the commentators.

Whilst we have actually had a little bit of the footy, we look scared to go back inside the corridor from the wings and the inside 50’s have been putrid.

They look a lot fitter than us, wouldn’t be surprised if they really open up in the second half.

Actually preferred him in the ruck to Williams. At least it wasn’t coming out clean. Every time Williams has been in there it comes straight out

Our forward entries have been very hap hazard.

Watching the game on my phone i think i saw a classic duggo.shank into the F50 after a chain of ok play.

Lack of a #1 ruck hurting us, Williams good last year and will scrap all season but not ready yet for the big experienced ****ers in the league.

Our ground coverage is poor both ways. Can’t stay with our opponent and also can’t create our own space. Not sure where the improvement comes from with such one paced players. It’s not like we just need to fix up the errors

If you build a squad full of players for one style of game and that doesn’t work anymore but the coach can’t fully embrace change then you get this.

Players who aren’t good/quick enough to change method and young guys who have no confidence in what they are supposed to do because the coach isn’t sure either.

The biggest change we could have made end of last season was the coach. We stuffed that up.

He wasn’t real good. He gave his all and was adequate. We immediately acquired a replacement at year end.

He’s the sort of player poor sides always have. Depth/fringe in a decent side.

No, I’ve said it for more than a year.. he is barely competitive, can’t mark , has no physical presence and if somehow he does get the knock can’t direct it to our advantage… it was between him and gaff who was the bigger Bradbury into the fairest and best higher placing last year.
